“Honor Rising” ROH vs. New Japan News & Notes
– Jay Lethal retained the ROH World Title over Honma in the main event of Night 2 on Saturday.
After ROH referee Todd Sinclair was bumped late in the match, Lethal used a run-in by Naito’s heel faction “Los Ingobernables” to take out Honma, setting up Lethal to nail his Lethal Injection finisher for the win.
Afterward, Naito and Lethal formed an alliance, setting up the faction with Naito, Lethal, BUSHI, and EVIL (the former Watanabe) with Truth Martini as manager.
– In the semi-main event of Saturday’s show, the Bullet Club faction of Kenny Omega & the Young Bucks captured the NEVER Openweight six-man Tag Titles from The Briscoes & Toru Yano.
Bullet Club used heel tactics to win the belts, setting up the theme for the main event.
After the show, the Young Bucks & Kenny Omega issued an Open Challenge to the other big three-man unit in pro wrestling, WWE tag champions New Day.
