– WWE continued to tease tension between Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose heading into their #1 contender match at Fast Lane. The third man in the #1 contender match, Brock Lesnar, did not appear on Raw. Neither did WWE champion Triple H.

Instead, Paul Heyman had a top-of-the-third-hour promo segment trying to drive a wedge between Reigns and Ambrose, which led to Ambrose teasing turning on Reigns, who saw it coming.

Prior to the Ambrose-Reigns teaser, The Dudleys attacked Reigns from behind. This followed The Dudleys explaining their heel turn to the Raw audience.

– The main event match/segment was Big Show vs. Braun Strowman ending in a DQ due to outside interference by The Wyatts. Ryback, then Kane made the save. Show, Kane, and Ryback stood tall to close Raw.

– A.J. Styles beat The Miz in a lengthy match with Chris Jericho on commentary. Jericho said he would answer Styles’s challenge for the third match in their series this Thursday on Smackdown.

– The top item announced for Smackdown is Brock Lesnar on the final episode hyping Fast Lane.

WWE also announced Reigns & Ambrose vs. The Dudleys for Smackdown.

– WWE announced a “legacy award” in honor of Vince McMahon, Sr. to be introduced on next week’s Raw.

– WWE followed up on Daniel Bryan’s big retirement last week on Raw by placing attention on his wife, Brie Bella, who challenges Charlotte for the Divas Title at Fast Lane. Charlotte ran down Brie and Bryan while Ric Flair stood in the background.
