Heath Slater joined Michael Cole for this week’s sit-down interview on WWE’s website. Yes, Heath Slater. And, the entire interview revolved around why Slater was booked for the interview.
The six minutes of video included Cole trying to figure out why he had to interview Slater. Cole figured out that it was because Slater placed #8 in the Superstar of the Year Slammys voting.
Slater, somewhat in-character as a goof, said he really hasn’t done much this year, but he thinks John Cena was afraid to defend the U.S. Title against him during the Open Challenge run, so fans gravitated toward him. Or, he thought he was on an episode of “Swerved.”
Slater then shouted out to WWE fans on social media for their hashtags demanding more of him.
Cole decided they should do some caroling, then Cole had enough of the interview and walked off the set before Slater could get some things off his chest.
