SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
WWE’s on-air NXT GM William Regal announced Tuesday that he is leaving the U.K. Tour early.
Regal, who has been making appearances at each night’s house show to thank the audience for their support, said that he has to continue treatment for his neck following recent surgery.
“I’m incredibly sorry but I have had to return to the U.S. to take care of some final details of my recent neck surgery that couldn’t be avoided any longer,” Regal said Tuesday.
“Again, I’m sorry that I cannot continue with the current tour but I’ll be back in 2016 to WWE NXT.”
WWE wraps up the U.K. Tour Wednesday night in London with the “Takeover: London” special on WWE Network.
Regal was also scheduled for a one-man show in Nottingham, England on Thursday. That event has been canceled and refunds are being offered.
Due to @RealKingRegal flying back to the US for health reasons we have no choice but to cancel his show on Thursday in Nottingham. 1/2
