WWE Survivor Series PPV News & Notes
– Sheamus is the new WWE World Hvt. champion coming out of Survivor Series.
Roman Reigns beat Dean Ambrose in the finals of the WWE Title tournament. However, Sheamus cashed in his MITB briefcase on Reigns to win the WWE Title.
– The only other title match of the night was Charlotte beating Paige for the Divas Title. Elsewhere, U.S. champion Alberto Del Rio and IC champion Kevin Owens were in the title tournament and WWE tag champions New Day were in a traditional Survivor Series match.
– The Undertaker & Kane reunited to defeat Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper of the Wyatt Family to celebrate 25 years since Taker’s WWF/E debut at the 1990 Survivor Series.
– Goldust returned to WWE TV in a pre-show traditional Survivor Series match. Goldust’s team was opposite his brother, “Stardust” Cody Rhodes.
– The PPV opened with Lilian Garcia singing the National Anthem, a message that WWE will not be intimidated by real or hoax terrorist threats.
