After Thursday night's Impact and the reveal of Mike Knox as an official member of Aces & Eights, the group now stands at Devon, DOC and Knox (pithy name to come). Oh, and don't forget all those who are still masked. I do give credit to Mike Tenay for explaining why they insist on remaining anonymous, saying that they feel they can do more damage if people don't know their identities (especially true for guys like Garett Bischoff, Wes Brisco, and D-Lo Brown, all of whom are expected to be revealed as A&E members).

But are those three enough to keep Aces & Eights as a legitimate group to oppose Impact Wrestling? They've been on thin ice for a while now, thanks in part to the lack of explanation for why the group exists, as well as the lower-card members of the group. That's not to mention the fact that they rarely come out on top in matches. Oh sure, they've won a few here and there, but it's been a while since they've won one of significance.

The reveal of Knox has been a long time coming for those who believe this storyline needs to hit the gas pedal. The return of Sting was the right time to do it, but it's hard to argue that perhaps an even bigger reveal should've taken place on the much-hyped 1-3-13 episode.

As we pass into the New Year, a resolution for Impact Wrestling creative should be expediting this Aces & Eights storyline. They need to either reveal the man in charge (expected to be Eric Bischoff), or a main eventer as part of the group (I don't know if Mr. Anderson counts at this point), or why the group continues to terrorize Impact Wrestling. Until those steps are taken, it will be harder and harder to take the group seriously.
