TV Wrestling Viewership Break Down
Week of September 14

- WWE's share of the TV Viewership pie increased to 93 percent, mainly due to TNA Impact and ROH TV falling off against the GOP debate.

Overall, the total pie shrank for the third consecutive week, reflecting lackluster pro wrestling TV viewership.

WWE Raw & Smackdown, TNA Impact, ROH TV Viewership

- Total Live TV Wrestling Viewership: 5.889 million total viewers, down from 5.982 million viewers last week and 6.439 million viewers two weeks ago.

- Total DVR Added Viewership: 6.628 million total viewers, down from 6.722 million last week and 7.269 million two weeks ago.

***

- Monday, September 14: WWE Raw was nearly identical to the previous week in both live+same day viewership and DVR added viewership.

8:00 p.m.: 3.290 million live viewers, 3.678 million with DVR (+11.8%)
9:00 p.m.: 3.539 million live viewers, 3.982 million with DVR (+12.5%)
10:00 p.m.: 3.363 million live viewers, 3.842 million with DVR (+14.2%)

- THIS WEEK: 3.397 million avg. live viewers, 3.843 million with DVR (+12.9%)
- LAST WEEK: 3.385 million avg. live viewers, 3.854 million with DVR (+13.8%)

Overall, there was not a significant bump in DVR viewership to make up for a downturn in live viewing compared to two weeks ago.

- Wednesday, Sept. 16: Ring of Honor's only airing at 11:00 p.m. EST drew 89,000 viewers, nearly half of their usual draw in the 144-150k range. ROH did not place in the weekly cable TV rankings, therefore DVR viewing was not accounted for.

- Wednesday, Sept. 16: TNA Impact drew 258,000 first-run viewers against the GOP debate, down from 323,000 viewers last week.

The replay/West Coast airing after ROH then drew 62,000 viewers, down from the previous three weeks that drew 82k-96k.

So, the question was whether there would be a bump in DVR viewership to make up for Wednesday's downturn. The answer is no. DVR viewing added 75,000 viewers, down from 83,000 the previous week.

Therefore, TNA's total audience was 395,000 viewers, down more than 100,000 viewers from 502,000 total viewers last week.

- Thursday, Sept. 17: WWE Smackdown drew 2.083 million first-run viewers, up slightly from 2.040 million viewers last week.

Smackdown then added 227,000 DVR viewers, up from 189k last week.

Therefore, Smackdown's total audience was 2.310 million viewers, up from 2.229 million total viewers last week.
