SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
Against WWE’s “NXT Takeover” special, Lucha Underground fell in this week’s TV viewership.
Lucha Underground Viewership Tracking
June 8: Lucha Underground’s combined audience was 146,000 viewers, down slightly from 151,000 viewers last week.
Where Lucha seemed to be most affected by NXT was the first airing only drew 85,000 viewers, compared to 111,000 viewers last week. It was the smallest 8:00 p.m. audience this year.
The replay then drew 61,000 viewers, compared to 40,000 replay viewers last week.
– DEMOGRAPHICS: Lucha’s median age viewer was 44.1 years-old, tied for the youngest audience this year.
However, because of the smaller audience, the number of adults 18-49 watching the first airing fell to a one-month low.
Lucha’s female audience improved, though, reaching a two-month high.
The resulting split was 69 percent males 18-49 and 31 percent females 18-49, the broadest split in the Second Quarter.
Yeah, not surprised this week. I figured as well that NXT Takeover would hurt Lucha Underground.
