SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

This week’s Raw episode featured Hell in a Cell fall-out and a #1 contender series to determine the next top title contender. How did TV ratings compare to last week’s show?

WWE Raw TV Ratings

— October 26: Raw scored a 2.46 rating for the post-PPV episode, up 11 percent from an historical-low 2.21 rating last week.

It was tied with the September 21 episode for highest rating of the fall season.

The demographic ratings show a mixed bag – males 18-49 was up one-tenth of a rating, but males 18-34 was down one-tenth of a rating to one of the lowest ratings of the year. Also, adults 18-49 increased slightly.

It appears Raw got back some of the older audience that had been pulled away to football and other programming – Monday Night Football was down 12 percent from last week.

– Despite the big ratings increase, Raw drew nearly the exact same audience as last week’s episode leading into Hell in a Cell.

Hourly Break Down: 3.635 million first hour viewers for immediate PPV fall-out, a sharp decline to 3.213 million second hour viewers, and nearly the same audience at 3.214 million third hour viewers.

– Raw’s viewership pattern continued the recent trend of a significant drop-off from the first to third hour…

9/21 – 4.7% drop from H1 to H3.
9/28 – 8.3% drop from H1 to H3.
10/5 – 8.8% drop from H1 to H3.

10/19 – 13.3% drop from H1 to H3.
10/26 – 11.6% drop from H1 to H3.

– The overall rating is still down compared to the same last year. Raw on October 27, 2014 scored a 2.71 rating. Also, the m18-34 demographic rating was two-tenths higher.
