WWE Main Event Results
December 2, 2014
Taped in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Report by Joel Dehnel, PWTorch contributor

Main Event opening rolled. The audience was welcomed to the show live on WWE Network. The announcers tonight are Byron Saxton and Michael Cole.

Jack Swagger's music played and he made his way to the ring. A short video package played recalling the events on Raw between Rusev and Swagger.

Titus O'Neil is Swagger's opponent tonight.

1 -- JACK SWAGGER vs. TITUS O'NEIL

Swagger took down Titus early. Titus threw Swagger into the corner then tossed him to the outside. Titus continued to dominate and hit a fall away slam. Swagger kicked Titus and slammed him to the mat. Swagger went for a Swagger Bomb, but Titus put up his knees. Titus went for another slam, but rolled through and locked in the Patriot Lock for the victory.

WINNER: Swagger via submission at 4:37.

Following the match, Renee Young joined Swagger in the ring and asked about Zeb Colter. Swagger said he looks up to Zeb and called Rusev a coward. He then said he would work to take the U.S. Championship. Swagger then asked the fans to join him in reciting "We, The People!"

[Break]

Back from the break, Adam Rose made his way to the ring. Shortly thereafter Gold and Stardust came to the ring.

2 -- ADAM ROSE & THE BUNNY (w/The Rosebuds) vs. "STARDUST" CODY RHODES & GOLDUST

Stardust and The Bunny started the match. Stardust went for a clothesline, but The Bunny ducted and did a Ric Flair strut. Rose and Goldust were both tagged in and Goldust took out Rose. Stardust came back in briefly and landed a few shots until he tagged back in Goldust. Both men were knocked down and both got the tag to their partner. The Bunny stomped on Stardust and taunted him. Rose tagged himself in and hit a spinebuster on Stardust. Goldust broke up the pin and Stardust hit Dark Matter on Rose for the win.

WINNER: Star & Goldust with Dark Matter at 3:45.

A video package then aired from Raw recalling the events between Miz and Jimmy Uso.

Backstage: Tom Phillips was with The Usos. Jimmy said that all his can think about is The Miz. He said tonight he's going to go out there and kick his ass.

In-ring: Rosa was dancing and Fandango made his way to the ring for the upcoming match-up.

[Break]

3 -- FANDANGO (w/Rosa Mendes) vs. R-TRUTH

Both men locked up until they exchanged a series of chops. Fandango then took down R-Truth and taunted the crowd. R-Truth made his way back up and hit a few armdrags until he was kicked in the corner by Fandango. Fandango stomped on R-Truth and took control. R-Truth landed a kick and planted Fandango's face into the mat. Fandango threw Truth into the ringpost on the apron. He then went to the top rope and hit a leg drop for the victory.

WINNER: Fandango at 3:36 with a top-rope leg drop.

[Break]

Announcers: Cole and Saxton went back to the events on Raw. The Raw Rebound aired.

The Usos made their way to the ring for Jimmy Uso's match up next.

[Break]

A short video package aired recalling the event on Raw involving The Usos. The Miz came out and said he wanted to apologize to Jimmy Uso because of his gestures towards Naomi. He said he appreciates her talents and that there are many agents in Hollywood who want her. He asked Jimmy if he's upset because he can do more for her than Jimmy can. Jimmy then dashed to the outside and attacked Miz.

4 -- WWE tag team champ THE MIZ (w/Damien Mizdow) vs. JIMMY USO (w/Jey Uso)

Jimmy landed many strikes on Miz and clotheslined him to the outside. Miz continued to run away from Jimmy. He used Mizdow as a distraction and attacked Jimmy. Miz kicked Jimmy in the face and the gut, then the camera showed Naomi watching the match backstage at a 45-degree angle from the TV. Miz continued his dominance and threw Jimmy into the turnbuckle. Jimmy fell to the outside and Jey ran to check on him. Jimmy stalled on the outside until he rolled back in at the count of nine.

Miz taunted the crowd, which led to a clothesline from Jimmy. Jimmy got fired up and threw Miz to the outside and dove onto him. Jimmy threw Miz into the barricade and as you guessed Mizdow imitated Miz. Jimmy brought Miz back to the ring and Miz briefly gained momentum until Jimmy hit a Samoan Drop.

Miz escaped the ring and Jimmy hit a suicide dive between the ropes to the outside. Jimmy knocked over Miz and Mizdow ran into the ring and laid down next to Miz. Both Usos went to the top and hit the splash on both men for the win.

WINNER: Jimmy Uso at 8:19 with a top-rope splash.

FINAL THOUGHTS: On Moonlighting with Greg Parks a couple weeks ago, Greg and I talked about not being sure whether WWE had any idea what direction they were going with The Bunny. I think this episode is evidence that The Bunny is just a character that entertains Vince McMahon and WWE has no idea with what to do with him. And, if WWE does reveal who is playing The Bunny, WWE will have no idea what to do with the ex-Bunny... I'm glad that they are at least trying to give the Tag Titles a storyline with The Miz and Jimmy Uso. I can appreciate the attempt rather than having two teams feud for the sake of having them feud. The storyline of the husband protecting his wife has been overplayed by now and I'll probably get sick of this pretty quickly, but I'm willing to give this a chance because I applaud WWE for actually attempting to do their job.
