WWE Main Event Results
November 25, 2014
Taped in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Report by Joel Dehnel, PWTorch contributor

Main Event opening rolled followed by arena pyro. The audience was then welcomed to the show live on WWE Network. The announcers tonight are Byron Saxton and Michael Cole.

The Miz and Damien Mizdow made their way to the ring. Miz was holding both tag belts while Mizdow was holding two toy replica belts. A short video packaged aired recapping Miz and Mizdow's title victory at Survivor Series.

The Miz grabbed the mic and discussed when people said "Mike you can't, The Miz can!" Miz said that his partner doesn't get the credit he deserves. His partner he was referring to was 'The Money Maker.'

Los Matadores made their way to the ring.

1 -- WWE Tag champs THE MIZ & DAMIEN MIZDOW vs. LOS MATADORES (w/El Torito)

Miz started the match with Diego. After a beat down, Fernando was tagged in. Miz gained control after a distraction from Mizdow. Miz taunted the crowd as they cheered "We Want Mizdow.' Miz hit a devastating DDT for a quick nearfall. Miz teased a tag to Mizdow, but Fernando escaped and got the tag to Diego. Diego briefly gained momentum over Miz until Mizdow tagged in and hit a Skullcrushing Finale, but Miz tagged back in and got the pin.

WINNERS: Miz and Mizdow at 5:03.

Backstage: Renee Young was with Fandango and Rosa Mendes. Renee asked about their plans for the future, but they ignored Renee and kissed each other.

[Break]

In-ring: Rosa seductively danced until Fandango ran out to her for his entrance. Adam Rose then made his way down the aisle with The Bunny and The Rosebuds.

2 -- FANDANGO (w/Rosa Mendes) vs. ADAM ROSE (w/The Rosebuds)

Both men locked up early until Rose took control. Rose beat down Fandango in the corner. Both men went to the outside and Fandango took out Rose by dropping him on the apron. Back in the ring, Fandango continued to toss Rose around the ring. On the outside, The Bunny tried to dance with Rosa. Rose began to make his comeback with a few shoulder blocks and an atomic drop. The Bunny got on the apron and distracted Fandango. Rose tried to capitalize, but Fandango rolled out and hit a leg rope from the top for the win.

WINNER: Fandango at 3:36 with a top rope leg drop.

[Break]

Announcers: Cole and Saxton went back to the events on Raw. The Raw Rebound then aired.

Backstage: Natalya and Tyson were looking at Thanksgiving food. They were interrupted by Layla and Summer Rae, who threw a pie in Natalya's face. Tyson lacked concern for what happened to his wife.

[Break]

Layla made her way to the ring accompanied by Summer Rae. Natalya then angrily walked to the ring with Tyson.

3 -- LAYLA (w/Summer Rae) vs. NATALYA (w/Tyson Kidd)

Natalya went to the outside and shoved Summer Rae. She was then super kicked by Layla. Layla maintained control with a triangle choke. Natalya escaped and went for a roll-up, but Layla quickly regained control. Layla fell to the outside after a submission attempt. Natalya dropkicked Layla, but Layla escaped and went for a cross-body, which Natalya avoided. Natalya then locked in The Sharpshooter for a tap-out victory.

WINNER: Natalya via submission at 4:42.

[Break]

Back from the break, Kane made his way to the ring. A video package played of Kane's new position as "Concessions" Kane. Dean Ambrose then made his way down the aisle. A short video package aired of Bray Wyatt's beat down on Ambrose from Raw.

4 -- DEAN AMBROSE vs. KANE

Kane cornered Ambrose and beat him down. Ambrose escaped and hit a shoulder block. He then went to the top rope and hit a DDT off the top. He went for a pin then a swinging neck breaker. Kane countered and got Ambrose back in the corner. Ambrose escaped again and punched Kane then hit a cross-body. Kane flew to the outside and Ambrose went for a dive, but Kane struck his face.

[Break]

Back in the ring, Kane had Ambrose in a headlock and both men made it to their feet. Kane then hit a suplex on Ambrose and went for a pin. Kane hit a big boot on Ambrose which was sold beautifully. Ambrose gained momentum with a few kicks and hit a drop kick off the top rope. He then threw Kane into the corner and hit a running bulldog showing shades of C.M. Punk. Kane was whipped to the outside and Ambrose dove onto him. In the ring, Kane put Ambrose on the top rope and went for a superplex, but Ambrose knocked him off and hit a flying elbow. He went back up to the top, but was countered by a right hand. Ambrose hit a clothesline and went for Dirty Deeds, which Kane countered. Kane went for a chokeslam, but Ambrose countered and got a roll-up for the victory.

WINNER: Ambrose at 8:53 with a roll up.

FINAL THOUGHTS: Up to the main event, I thought they would have a show with no commercial interruptions during the matches, but it turns out I was being a bit too naive. Ambrose looked good in the main event and sold Kane's strength and power very well. He showed much more diversity in his move set than I've seen in his past few matches. It appears that he's been ripping out a few chapters from the C.M. Punk book, which I have no problem with... Main Event had more of the same with Natalya and Tyson Kidd, which is starting to make me wonder if WWE has any sort of end game for these two. They've been doing the same schtick for a few months now with no pay-off in sight. I could say the same thing about Adam Rose and The Bunny because some days Rose hates The Bunny and other times they are cool... Miz and Mizdow are gaining more momentum as an act and appear to have more shelf life than I thought. They won't be together a year from now, but at this point I'm beginning to think that this could be leading to a WrestleMania match between the two. You can almost see it now - the utility comedy act Damien Mizdow takes on the former WrestleMania main-eventer and D-List movie star The Miz in an epic showdown. Now that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you book a great match.
