WWE Main Event Results
November 11, 2014
Taped in Liverpool, U.K.
Report by Joel Dehnel, PWTorch contributor

Main Event opened with a video package honoring United States veterans narrated by John Cena. Main Event opening rolled then Michael Cole introduced the audience to the show live on WWE Network. The announcers tonight are Byron Saxton with Cole.

Stardust made his to the ring followed by Adam Rose. A video package aired recapping the events between Adam Rose and The Bunny.

1 -- WWE tag champion "STARDUST" CODY RHODES (w/Goldust) vs. ADAM ROSE

Rose took control early until Stardust left the ring and hissed at the exotic express. Back in the ring Stardust took control and continued to taunt The Bunny. Rose started to gain momentum and gave Stardust a spinebuster. Goldust distracted Rose, then The Bunny attacked Goldust. Rose got a roll-up pin on Stardust.

WINNER: Rose at 3:58.

[Break]

Back from the break, a video package aired highlighting Ryback's return.

2 -- ALICIA FOX vs. CAMERON

Both women locked up early and shifted momentum back in forth until Cameron tossed Fox to the outside. Back in the ring Cameron took control with a few headlocks and takedowns. Some scattered boring chants rang throughout the arena. Alicia Fox then broke free and scored a pin out of nowhere.

WINNER: Fox at 3:28.

[JD's Reax: This match was about as bad as it gets for the Divas division.]

Announcers: Cole and Saxton talked about the events on Raw between Wyatt and Ambrose. A video aired of Wyatt cutting a promo on Ambrose.

Sami Zayn then began to make his way to the ring.

[Break]

Vignette: A promo aired for what appears to be the return of Kofi Kingston. Throughout the promo he was preaching to a choir about a new day.

Tyson Kidd then made his way to the ring with Natalya and a video package aired highlighting his match with Sami Zayn from last week.

3 -- TYSON KIDD (w/Natalya) vs. SAMI ZAYN

Kidd gained the advantage early and took down Zayn. He then got up and taunted the crowd. Kidd continued to work Zayn's arm. Zayn made his escape, but Kidd backed away. The match reset and Kidd put on a headlock. Zayn broke free again and hit multiple arm drags until Kidd ran out of the ring to compose himself. He stood on the ring apron and Zayn suplexed him back into the ring. Zayn went to the top rope but Kidd dropkicked him and he fell to the floor. Kidd dragged Zayn back to ring and landed a few blows on the apron. He requested a kiss from Natalya then gave her a strong hug.

[Break]

Back in the ring, Kidd was still in control and landed a stiff kick to Zayn's neck. He locked in a triangle choke on Zayn's neck and continued to dominate. Kidd whipped Zayn around the ring and went for a quick pin. Zayn found an opening and landed a drop kick. He went to the top rope and hit a cross body for a near fall. Kidd ran outside the ring and ran back in. While standing on the apron he kicked Zayn square in the face. Kidd hit a swinging neck breaker off the top for a nearfall. Zayn gained momentum for Blue Thunder Bomb. After a near fall, Kidd tried to rollup up Zayn and grab the tights like last week, but the ref caught him. Kidd ran to the outside and used Natalya as a distraction to to gain control on Zayn. He then hit a swinging neck breaker in the ring for the pin on Zayn.

WINNER: Kidd at 13:44.

[Break]

Announcers: Cole and Saxton went back to the events on Raw between John Cena and Ryback. The Raw Rebound aired highlighting Ryback's return.

Dean Ambrose made his way to the ring for his upcoming match.

[Break]

Back from the break, a video package aired recalling the events between Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose from Hell in a Cell.

4 -- DEAN AMBROSE vs. JUSTIN GABRIEL

Momentum shifted between both men with various takedowns, wrist locks and head locks. Ambrose began to take control with a shoulder block and a scoop slam. He then landed a suplex on Gabriel. Gabriel started to gain momentum until Ambrose clotheslined him to the outside and dove onto him. Back in the ring, Gabriel locked up Ambrose in the corner. He got Ambrose in an arm lock until Ambrose broke free and took down Gabriel with a few shoulder blocks. He then landed a bulldog for a nearfall. Ambrose then picked up Gabriel and hit Dirty Deeds for the win.

WINNER: Ambrose at 5:13 with Dirty Deeds.

After the match, Ambrose grabbed the mic. Ambrose cut a promo on Bray Wyatt and said at Survivor Series he will give Bray Wyatt some family counseling.

FINAL THOUGHTS: Very similar format to last week with with the four-match set-up and no extended in-ring promo. I'm intrigued by the Adam Rose vs. Bunny storyline because I want to know who WWE says was The Bunny all along, but this week The Bunny helped, Rose which I don't understand at all... The Kidd-Zayn match was a continuation from last week with another loss from Zayn. I'm not sure how many people watch Main Event, but I'm certain that it doesn't help Zayn losing on Main Event before he's introduced for real on Raw. Gabriel appears to be the designated job guy on Main Event, as was the case this week with Ambrose... Ambrose dominated for the most part, but to get to the next level Ambrose needs to expand his moveset. I understand that they were only given five minutes, but Ambrose needs to do more than a few shoulder blocks and scoop slams.
