WWE Saturday Morning Slam Results
December 1, 2012
Aired on CW - Episode #15
Report by James Caldwell, PWTorch assistant editor

Staff12CaldwellJames_120_4.jpg

This week's Saturday morning show started with a crowd shot as the voice-over man introduced the show and plugged a trip overseas to the U.K. this week. In the main event, it's the Usos vs. Gabriel & Kidd in tag action.

In the arena, 3MB's music played as Josh Mathews and R-Truth introduced the show on commentary. It's Jinder Mahal in singles action. Ted DiBiase then came out jumping around and slapping hands. Mathews and Truth could only muster an adjective of "athletic" to describe DiBiase before the opening bell.

1 -- JINDER MAHAL (w/Heath Slater) vs. TED DIBIASE

Mathews and Truth discussed the existence of Little Jimmy early on, then DiBiase drew their attention with a slingshot splash onto both Mahal and Slater ringside. Back in the ring, Mahal took control of the action. DiBiase then made his comeback and WWE cut to the announcers for several seconds. For the finish, DiBiase went to the top-rope for a cross-body splash, connected, but Mahal rolled through into a surprise pinfall for the win. Cue up some music-related cliches from Mathews to note 3MB's victory over DiBiase.

WINNER: Mahal at 2:58. Fine win for Mr. Mahal, but WWE has nothing for DiBiase, so he's stuck playing the hopeless, hand-slapping babyface.

Up Next: Layla discusses English vs. English. Also, a look at Great Britain's best brawlers through history.

[Commercial Break]

U.K. Tips: Layla talked about the culture barrier between the U.S. and England. Word Differences: policeman vs. bobbies, subway vs. underground, elevator vs. lift, and bathroom/restroom vs. loo/toilet.

U.K. Brawlers from the Video Vault: Wade Barrett, William Regal, and... Paul Burchill. The video focused on Regal through the years, then British Bulldog (with Summerslam 1992 footage), Paul Burchill during his pirate run, and Barrett's Barrage.

Sat. Morning Spotlight: Wade Barrett. Barrett said he had enough of not getting his way, so he came to WWE to become World champion.

Up Next: Main event of Usos vs. Gabriel & Kidd.

[Commercial Break]

In-ring: The Usos were introduced first for the main event. No traditional war dance to bring them out to the ring. After they arrived, Justin Gabriel's music played to bring out Gabriel separate from Tyson Kidd, who also received an individual ring intro.

2 -- JUSTIN GABRIEL & TYSON KIDD vs. THE USOS

Very friendly back-and-forth early on as the babyface duos played nice executing offense. Kidd then teased a Sharpshooter, but Uso reached the ropes for a break. Kidd then teased a plancha, but the Usos moved. So, Gabriel went flying through the ropes to splash Jey. Gabriel followed with a splash to Jimmy. Kidd and Gabriel in control going to break.

[Commercial Break]

Back on Slam, Eve provided this week's Don't Try This At Home/School/Anywhere message. Back to the show, Mathews tried to get Truth to say something on commentary as the Usos controlled the action in the ring. Gabriel tried to encourage Kidd to make a tag as the crowd tried to rally behind Tyson. Jimmy then took too long climbing up-top, allowing Kidd to arm-drag him off the top.

Dual tags to Gabriel and Jey, leading to an awkward exchange that resulted in a sit-out slam by Gabriel. The two men traded control again before Jey airballed a running splash on Gabriel. Gabriel then climbed up-top and teased the 450 Splash, but missed. Jimmy then tagged in and the Usos hit the Alley-Us combination on Gabriel for the pin and the win. Post-match, Kidd clapped it up for the Usos, who returned the love as they celebrated in the ring. Mathews said there's breaking news backstage...

WINNERS: Usos at 8:38.

Backstage: WWE cut to John Cena standing by for an announcement. Cena said he will be making his in-ring debut next week on Slam. He issued an Open Challenge to anyone in WWE, then 3MB barged in. Heath Slater said the kids are going to be screaming and so happy to see Cena. Slater said his challenge is accepted for next week. Cena held firm, then booked himself against Slater next week. He did the You Can't See Me handwave and said you're going to want to see that.

Saturday Slam wrapped up with a Vortexx promo for Cena's Saturday Morning next week on the CW. End show.
