Aired on Syfy

-Last Monday, The Shield assaulted anyone who is anyone on Raw. Ryback then singlehandedly fought them off. Also, Big Show and Sheamus have a no-touch clause in their TLC contract, can they go 48 hours without getting physical? This was the question posed by the voice over guy that opened Smackdown.
-At ringside, Josh Mathews welcomed everyone to Smackdown. He was with JBL and they were joined by Antonio Cesaro and Sheamus on commentary. Their TLC opponents are squaring off next!
1 - World Hvt. champion BIG SHOW vs. R-TRUTH – non-title match
Big Show goes to work on Truth to start, chopping him all over the ring. Sheamus makes a bad joke about having a donkey named Pepe who looked like Cesaro, and Antonio rightfully states that the joke wasn’t funny. Big Show continues to work over Truth all over the ring, he chops his chest and stands on his chest. Show rolls to the floor and chops away at Truth chest some more. Show goes over to Sheamus and offers to let him have a free shot, but Sheamus declines and Truth tries to sneak up on Show, but Show will have none of it.
Cesaro gets up and tries to sneak attack a fallen Truth, but Sheamus puts the kibosh on his plans. Big Show pulls Truth back into the ring by palming his head and lifting him from the floor. Show runs into a boot of R-Truth’s, Truth tries a sleeper, but Show snapmares him over. Show misses a elbow drop, Truth nails him with a scissor kick, but can’t put him away with it. Truth tries a DDT, Show throws him off and puts Truth away with a WMD.
WINNER: Big Show by pinfall in 5:00.
Mike's Reax: What part of this match should make me think that R-Truth will beat Cesaro on Sunday? Was it the part where he got no offense or the part where he got the crap kicked out of him from pillar to post? Squash!
-Post-match: Big Show gets back in Sheamus face and tries taunting him, Sheamus gets up in Show's face and Cesaro shoves Sheamus into Big Show and runs off. Big Show claims that Sheamus hit him and pretends to be hurt by it. Show tells him that the match is now off. Sheamus sells it like Show is right and shows concern.
-Moments ago on Smackdown, Cesaro shoved Sheamus into Big Show and now the World Title match at TLC is in jeopardy.
-Big Show finds Booker T and tries to get the match called off on Sunday. Booker T calls Big Show’s case “weak stuff” and tells him that he was pushed into him. Booker tells him that if he is scared, just say so. Big Show says he isn’t afraid, but the match should be called off. Booker says the match is still on.
-Damien Sandow is mid-ring and he says that in one fort-night he has been scouring the WWE Universe to find an apprentice. He says that his quest has been like finding a needle in a haystack. Sandow then re-introduces his tag team partner and best friend – the magnificent, marvelous, mustached, Cody Rhodes! Cody, with manly mustache, makes his way to join Sandow in the ring. Josh Mathews throws to a replay of Mondays match where Rhodes Scholars beat the Usos. Cody starts off by saying that he is honored to be back in the ring with his partner. Cody says that the quest for an apprentice should be called off because his equal, his partner is back. The Usos’s music then interrupts Cody, they will face Rhode Scholars, next!
2 - RHODES SCHOLARS vs. THE USOS
Cody Rhodes and Jimmy Uso are in the ring, Jimmy clothesline shim down and tags in Jey. Jimmy and Jey double team Cody in the face corner, then Jimmy gets tagged back in. Cody moves out of the way of a charge and tags in Sandow. Sandow stomps on Jimmy. Side Russian legsweep and elbow of disdain by Damien Sandow, he tags Cody back in. Front face suplex by Cody as the crowd chants *for* Cody’s mustache.
Cody puts Jimmy in a full nelson, then Jimmy fights out and mule-kicks Cody in the stomach. Jey gets tagged in, as does Sandow. Jey nails him with a flying forearm and a Samoan Drop! Running butt to the face by Jey! Jimmy is tagged in, he stops a tag by Damien, Cody come sin anyway and gets clotheslined by Jey. Damien dumps Jey and rolls up Jimmy for the win while holding the tights.
WINNERS: Rhodes Scholars by pinfall in 4:00.
-Backstage, David Otunga is looking over the contract for the World Title Match, he says that if he is reading it right, it says that if there is *any* contact, then the match should be called off. Big Show tells him to take his case to Booker T. David says that he has a better idea, he is going to take it public!
-Big Show and David Otunga are in the ring when Smackdown returns. Big Show states that Sheamus clearly put his hands on him earlier tonight and thus violated the no contact clause, so the chairs match should be called off! Show says that Booker T would not listen to him, so he went out and got legal representation. Otunga starts off by saying that Booker T is a biased general manager and breaking his own rules, so he will take the case to the WWE Board of Directors. Otunga says that WWE Headquarters is only 20 miles away and he will petition the Board to call off the match and ask Booker T to resign as GM of Smackdown.
Booker T makes his way out and he says that Otunga’s arvard degree isn’t worth the paper it is written on. Booker says that the contract isn’t enforced by the letter of the law, but the spirit of the intent. Otunga objects. Booker reiterates that the match is still on and Big Show throws a hissy fit about it. Otunga takes a cheap shot at Booker by saying that just because he has been in prison, it doesn’t make him a legal expert. Otunga then says that he will also make a motion to the board to have Sheamus fired.
Sheamus charges the ring, he grabs a chair and he is warned by Booker not to touch Show. Sheamus says that if the match is called off, then he has no excuse not to tee off on Big Show. Big Show does a 180 and declares the match to still be on. Big Show walks off and Sheamus nails Otunga with a Brogue Kick.
-At ringside, Josh and JBL quickly debate over who will win on Sunday. Josh then switches gears to talk about Randy Orton and his match with Brad Maddox a few weeks ago on Raw. After he beat Brad, The Shield jumped Orton from behind and powerbombed him. Up next, Striker will talk with Randy Orton about that night.
-Back from the break, The Shield is putting the boots to Randy Orton, it looks like he was put through a table and he is left laid out.
3 - AKSANA vs. KAITLYN
Both women jockey for position to start, then Aksana takes Kaitlyn over with a headlock. Aksana continues to work the headlock, Kaitlyn is having trouble escaping it. Kaitlyn makes it to her feet, but fails to break free of the headlock. The crowd is completely silent sitting through this headlock. Two minutes in and the headlock is still on. Kaitlyn tries a sidewalk slam, but Aksana keeps the hold on. This match is shades of Frank Gotch vs. George Hackenschmidt! Kaitlyn finally breaks free and puts Aksana away with a gut buster.
WINNER: Kaitlyn by pinfall in 4:00.
Mike’s Reax: Oof!
-Backstage, Matt Striker has a update on Orton. He says that Orton has sustained a serparated shoulder and a possible concussion.
-Up next, MizTV with special guests, Team Hell No.
-The Miz is on his set and he says that the most controversial group in WWE today are The Shield and this Sunday they will face Team Hell No and Ryback in a TLC match. His guests tonight are two-thirds of that team, the tag team champions, Team Hell No!
Daniel Bryan and Kane join The Miz on MizTV. Miz starts off by asking Daniel Bryan how it felt, but Bryan interrupts and asks him who he think he is, Oprah? He says that he spent months in anger therapy with Kane, but now is the time for action and they will unleash all their anger on Sunday. When The Shield asks Bryan to stop, Bryan says that he will tell them “No!” Kane then says that they are on the same page thanks to The Shield and they are now unstoppable. They aren’t afraid to use tables, ladders, and chairs and they will love every second of it.
The Shield interrupt on the Titan Tron, they are sick of hearing empty threats and they will deliver justice to them just like they did to Randy Orton. The Shield says that their actions are justified.
[Q5] Shield says that Bryan can’t hide behind Kane and Kane isn’t monster enough to stop them. Kane asks them why wait until Sunday, they says that they agree on something. Kane and Bryan look around the arena looking for The Shield, they spot them in a loge. The Shield start making their way to the ring, then Ryback joins his team mates in the ring and The Shield put on the brakes. I also just noticed that The Miz is no longer in the ring, he split. The Shield turn around and they retreat out of the arena.
4 - TYSON KIDD & JUSTIN GABRIEL & THE GREAT KHALI & HORNSWOGGLE (w/Natalya) vs. PRIME TIME PLAYERS & EPICO & PRIMO (w/Rosa Mendes)
Khali and Titus O'Neil start things off, Khali chops away at Titus. Hornswoggle is tagged in, he chops on Titus and I throw up a little in my mouth at the thought of Horny getting offense in. Titus kicks Hornswoggle and tags in Darren Young. Young gets hit in the stomach by Horny, he tags in Kidd. Kidd springboard dropkicks Young across the ring and tags in Epico.
Epico puts Kidd in a headlock, he then chokes him on the middle rope, Rosa then cheapshots him. Natalya chases Rosa off. Primo is tagged in, he senton splashes Kidd. Primo tries a sunset flip, but Kidd rolls him up for a quick win.
WINNERS: Kidd, Gabriel, Khali, and Hornswoggle by pin in 3:00.
Post-Match: The faces nail high-flying moves on the faces to send them packing. They dance in the middle of the ring to (I guess) make the crowd happy.
-Still to come tonight, Sheamus vs. Antonio Cesaro!
5 - IC champion KOFI KINGSTON vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO - non-title match
Hammerlock by Kofi to start, then Del Rio makes the ropes. Del Rio kicks Kofi in the thigh and backs Kofi into the corner, and the referee calls for the break. Kofi nails Alberto with a cross-body block and then goes to work on the arm of Del Rio. Del Rio reverses out of an armbar and stomps Kofi on the stomach and then punts him in the stomach. Kofi sidesteps Del Rio and pounds away on Del Rio in the corner. He puts him down with a European uppercut. Del Rio knocks Kofi out and to the floor as Smackdown takes a break.
Snap suplex by Del Rio when Smackdown comes back. Kofi tries a quick roll up, Del Rio kicks out and then hits Kingston with a titl-a-whirl backbreaker. Del Rio mocks Kofi’s mannerisms and then misses a splash in the corner.
[Q7] Kofi gets whipped hard into the turnbuckle, then Del Rio then stomps on the arm of Kofi. Running enziguri by Alberto Del Rio and then out of nowhere hits Kofi with a Michonoku Driver(?!)! Kofi fights of a submission hold and then comes alive with a series of chops and a dropkick. Del Rio then turns it around with a back suplex. Del Rio goes for another suplex, then Kingston floats behind him and rolls Del Rio up for the win!
WINNER: Kofi Kingston by pinfall in 12:30.
Mike's Reax: Three matches tonight with quick roll up wins seems like lazy booking to me. Other than that, this was an acceptable match. At least Kofi gets some momentum going into his PPV match with Wade Barrett, unlike R-Truth!
-Post-match: Wade Barrett tries to jump Kofi from behind, Kofi sees him at the last second and puts him down with Trouble in Paradise.
-Raw Rebound time. This week's feature is on the latest on the John Cena and Dolph Ziggler feud. No mention that the briefcase is for the World Title, only that it guarantees a title match. Hmmm.
-At the announce table, Josh and JBL recap what happened throughout the night concerning the World Title situation and the match at TLC on Sunday.
-Sheamus is backstage with William Regal. Regal warns Sheamus not to fall for Big Shows tricks and wait until the match on Sunday. He also warns him not to look past Antonio Cesaro.
[Q8] Sheamus says he can wait for Sunday when he can whack him time after time with a chair and then regain his World Title.
6 - U.S. champion ANTONIO CESARO vs. SHEAMUS – non-title match
Both men try for the upper hand to start. Cesaro gets a headlock on Sheamus, then Sheamus shoots him off and Cesaro knocks Sheamus off his feet. Both men do the same spot, but this time Sheamus knocks Cesaro down. Cesaro backs Sheamus into the corner and tees off on him, but Sheamus reverses and sends Cesaro into the far corner and drives a shoulder into his mid-section. JBL puts over Sheamus hardcore as Cesaro tosses Sheamus to the floor; Sheamus tries getting back in, but gets kneed in the head.
Cesaro jumps on Sheamus with both feet, driving the air out of him. Sleeper by Antonio, looks like a Cobra Clutch or Million Dollar Dream. Sheamus fights out and then runs into another knee and a European uppercut by Antonio Cesaro. Cesaro picks Sheamus up off the mat with raw strength and suplexes him! Impressive feat of strength there that would make Frank Costanza and Festivus proud!
Both men trade blows, then Cesaro gets the upper hand with a European uppercut. Sheamus shrugs off the blows and comes back with Irish hammers, he then goes up top and connects with a battering ram. Sheamus ties Cesaro up in the ropes and clubs him ten times in the chest and suplexes him back into the ring.
Just then, Big Show tosses William Regal through the entrance. Sheamus runs down to save him, but Regal tells him not to retaliate just as Big Show waffles him with a chair. The referee then counts out Sheamus as Smackdown fades out.
WINNER: Antonio Cesaro by countout in 8:00.
