"All Caught Up" - June 3, 2015
Cheat Sheet for ROH on Destination America
By Mike Metzger, PWTorch ROH contributor

WILL FERRARA

Will Ferrara is a product of the Ring of Honor Dojo. ROH pushed him hard as a rookie sensation late last year when he eliminated ROH TV champion Jay Lethal from the Honor Rumble, a gantlet-style elimination match. After a brief feud with Lethal, Ferrara seemed to be a favorite in ROH’s annual Top Prospect tournament. He took a back seat to newcomers Donovan Dijak and “Party Peacock” Dalton Castle in the tournament and has been doing jobs since.

NEW JAPAN STARS

The inaugural Destination America episode was taped from the fourth night of ROH’s recent co-branded tour with New Japan Pro Wrestling. The first three shows are available for purchase at ROHWrestling.com

SILAS YOUNG

I personally believe “The Last Real Man” is one of the best characters in pro wrestling right now. He has the look down, mustache and all. I’m glad to see Silas back after a false start last year when he missed seven months due to a broken leg.

THE DECADE

The group originally consisted of B.J. Whitmer, Jimmy Jacobs, and Roderick Strong, but they have since gone their separate ways. Whitmer remains and is a grumpy old veteran who has assumed the roll of “locker room leader” in his own mind. After hazing “young boy” Adam Page for the last year, Whitmer has accepted Page as his equal and is now looking to school his latest “young boy,” Steve Corino’s 18-year-old son, Colby.

MOOSE

Moose is a former Atlanta Falcon and is currently receiving a mega=push by ROH standards. His career started off on the wrong foot when he was featured poorly on ROH’s initial two traditional PPVs. He started out as a reluctant babyface partner to comedy act R.D. Evans but then surprisingly turned heel and aligned himself with managers Veda Scott and Stokely Hathaway. He has since rebounded and has become a serviceable wrestler in recent months.

HOUSE OF TRUTH

The House of Truth has been a revolving stable of heel acts over the years, having once included Michael Elgin, Roderick Strong, and even the Headbangers. Jay Lethal became the latest centerpiece of the group last year when he turned heel and won the ROH TV Title from Tommaso Ciampa. Manager Truth Martini is flanked by his head of security, ROH Dojo trainee J. Diesel. Donovan Dijak joined the group rather than cash in his ROH TV Title shot after winning the 2015 Top Prospect tournament.

JAY LETHAL

ROH TV champion Jay Lethal has come a long way since his days as “Black Machismo” in TNA. He treaded water for a while after jumping to ROH in 2011, but has since found his stride as a heel. He consistently has the best matches on ROH shows and is ready to collide a title versus title match against Jay Lethal at ROH’s upcoming Best in the World PPV on June 19.

THE BRISCOES

The Briscoes are the perennial ROH stars, having been in the company since Day 1. Jay Briscoe has found himself in the role of two-time ROH World champion after Michael Elgin had issues with management in late 2014. It appeared that break-out star Adam Cole would regain the ROH World Title from Briscoe, but Cole went down with injury and is just returning to action now. Briscoe has since taken on all comers, including Elgin, Hanson, Tommaso Ciampa, and Samoa Joe.
