A Monday, Wednesday, Friday snapshot of the day in pro wrestling. Today is Wednesday, October 3...

YESTERDAY: Raw TV rating came in at 2.5 - not good. At what point do WWE and USA Network have that conversation about returning to two hours? Plus, WWE taped Smackdown...and Main Event...and Superstars...and Saturday Morning Slam in one night. At what point does it become too much programming for even the most dedicated WWE fan to keep up with?

TODAY: "WWE Main Event" premieres on Ion Television with Punk vs. Sheamus in a Champ vs. Champ match, plus Santino & Ryder vs. Kidd & Gabriel in a tag tournament match. Also, C.M. Punk and Colt Cabana host a comedy show in the Chicago area tonight and TNA hosts a conference call with King Mo discussing his TV debut on Impact.

TOMORROW: TNA returns to Orlando for Impact with King Mo, Knockouts tag match, Bound for Glory hype, and more from Aces & Eights. NFL doesn't have a marquee match-up Thursday night on NFL Network, although Fightin' Kevin Kolbs are 4-0, so Impact TV rating will be interesting. Can they escape the 1.0 doldrums?

LIVECAST: Join PWTorch columnist Pat McNeill for Interview Wednesday on today's Livecast at 5:30 p.m. EST on BlogTalkRadio.com . Email questions to pwtorchlivecast@gmail.com . Also, join the East Coast Cast's Travis & Bardre at 6:30 p.m. EST on BlogTalkRadio.com .

- WWE seems to be drawing closer to a Raw GM change with the A.J. Lee character "placed on probation," but WWE also seems to be sending mixed signals. Will A.J. simply avoid reprimands, "executive coaches," slaps on the wrists, etc. forever? Or, will WWE abruptly change course next week? WWE's typical "solution" to a significant drop-off in TV ratings is bringing back a McMahon in a position of authority. That internal discussion will likely take place this week.

- Poll Result: Highlight of Raw was ... J.R. Appreciation Night Segment w/Punk, Ross, and Ryback - 47 percent. Second place was Sheamus vs. Sandow - 18 percent.

- Poll Result II: Is Ryback ready for a top babyface push? Not ready for a huge push - 42 percent, Not sure, but worth the gamble - 38 percent, and Ready for a huge push - 21 percent.

- WWF house show 15 years ago in St. Paul, Minn.: Goldust pinned Brian Pillman in Pillman's final match prior to his death the next day. Also, Undertaker over Bret Hart via DQ in main event, Triple H over Jim Niedhart.

- ECW TV 15 years ago: Sandman fought Sabu to a No Contest in the main event.

- WWECW TV on Sci-fi 5 years ago: Big Daddy V beat Tommy Dreamer in a #1 contender main event; V earned future ECW Title shot against C.M. Punk.

- Remember Junior Fatu (Rikishi) in TNA and Kurt Angle stalking Sting's son at a high school football game? Good times on TNA Impact five years ago this week. Main Event: Samoa Joe & Fatu & LAX over Styles & Christian & Daniels & Senshi (Low-Ki) in eight-man tag match.
