-- The Shield's victory over Team Cena was a very good match. Slow in the middle, but for good reason in terms of the ring psychology building toward a hot tag to Ryback. Based on the crowd chants, it worked. Surprising finish in some respects, but The Shield were losing momentum and needed a big, clean, even-sided win. I also liked how the announcers made a very big deal out of the win. By making it sound like it was a surprise and a major statement victory, it actually made Cena, Sheamus, and Ryback out to be big stars because they made it seem like Shield beating them really means something.

-- The Shield beating Team Cena clean in a big match is what TNA needs to do with Aces & Eights, by the way.

-- The Chamber match was also very good, with a finish that would surprise most everyone, although Jack Swagger was the logical no. 2 choice behind Mark Henry given Swagger & Zeb Colter's anti-immigrant rhetoric this week. It sets up Alberto Del Rio fighting an anti-immigrant, anti-not-same-color-as-me heel duo at WrestleMania. And, Henry kept his heat because of the way he lost and the way he reacted afterward.

-- It did seem strange to have the marquee gimmick match the PPV event was named after come in the middle of the PPV, but then John Cena and The Rock were in two of the top remaining matches, so it made sense. It just doesn't help the Smackdown brand seem big time when its resident World Title is defended again in the opening and the Chamber match is third on the show.

-- Alberto Del Rio vs. Big Show in the opener was a good match. They had a good game plan and executed it well start to finish, well, with the exception of the first enzuigiri into the bucket. Del Rio recovered nicely from that, though, and mistakes happen. The fact that Ricardo helps Del Rio win does help Show retain some credibility, yet it does undercut Del Rio's cred as a top babyface champion when he only seems to win because of interference and help from ringside.

-- Backstage before the Chamber, Kane defended himself to Daniel Bryan that he is focused, not grumpy. I've gotta remember that line. That also explains Randy Orton's character 100 percent of the time.
