A Radican Short: Did Triple H and Matt Hardy deliver with their spotlight performances last week? Mar 2, 2009 - 5:37:39 PM
Before tonight's Raw goes to air, I think it's worth touching on Triple H's performance to close out Raw last week. He reminded me of the Triple H of old with his commanding presence in the ring.
Despite his chasing of Orton and the Legacy reminding me of the old Scooby Doo cartoons where Scooby Doo & Co. would go in one room, the bad guys would follow, and then they would pop out of another room, Triple H delivered a solid performance and advanced his feud with Orton.
On Smackdown this past week, Matt Hardy also held up his end of the bargain when his match with his brother Jeff turned into an in-ring confrontation. Matt held up his end, but I thought Jeff was particularly good playing to the crowd, especially after he left the ring and elicited more cheers, which only served to further Matt's rage.
If Jeff hadn't balanced out Matt's performance, the segment could have been forgettable, but as it was, it was an effective step towards the next stage of their feud that will presumably result in a match at WrestleMania.
