MITCHELL'S TAKE
Mitchell Short: Your Thank-You Note to WWE Jun 24, 2009 - 10:08:31 AM
World Wrestling Entertainment gives and gives and gives. You people take and take and take. It's time you did the right thing and acknowledged all WWE has done for you.
Now, I know you people have little or no manners. (I read the Comments on this site.) Wrestling fans are notorious for their lack of social graces. Luckily, I'm here to guide you in doing the right thing, for once in your life.
Just cut the letter below (don't forget to delete "Your Name Here" and write your name in that space), go to https://secure.wwe.com/forms/help/show.php, paste it into the form provided and send it, so for once someone knows you appreciate all the sacrifices they make for you. It's only common courtesy, after all.
Dear World Wrestling Entertainment,
Thank you so much for everything you've done for me lately. Last week you gave me what amounted to a free three hour pay-per-view, with three big world championship matches, including an historic new world champion. You tanked your own stock to bring in one of the biggest stars on NBC television, Donald Trump, just to shock and delight me.
You gave all my fellow WWE Universe friends in Green Bay, Wisconsin their ticket money back Monday night, giving me hope that you'll do the same thing for me the next time WWE comes to my town. (Don't disappoint me!) Monday, you made sure I could watch Raw, my favorite TV show, without having to switch channels during commercials.
Best of all, even though I'm a big fan, because you've been so generous – even giving away the biggest match in the business, Randy Orton defending the WWE Championship against my favorite wrestler, Triple H - Monday night. so, even as a big a fan as I am, I've pretty much had my fill of sports entertainment. I'm going to be able to forgo ordering the pay-per-view Sunday night and put that forty dollars back in my pocket. That's forty bucks I can really use in these trying economic times.
I really appreciate everything you've done for me, and look forward to what more you have to give.
Thanks so much,
Your Name Here
Now, turn off the computer and go call your mother. Manners aren't just for professional wrestling.
