* * * It might just be me but has Pat got louder on the top 5 stories of the week introduction (during his weekly podcast)? I mean I have to quickly turn the volume down on my mp3 player as it is so loud in my ears. I have to have the volume up to hear Pat while on my work commute and I fear this bit.
Is it just me? Do you think Pat could do it differently, maybe in the style of James Bond or a good cop/bad cop team.

I regret to inform young Jason that he was outvoted by the other members of the Forum. People who listen to the short version of the "Real Deal" podcast on the free site have no idea what he's talking about. For the record, I'll apologize for my loud introductions as soon as EVERY CABLE CHANNEL IN AMERICA apologizes for cranking the volume up to ear-splitting level during commercials.

Based on the past several presidential administrations, I think our President-elect should immediately hire a great criminal defense attorney, and keep him on staff to defend against the many personal investigations he will face over the next four years.
*** What do you think about the new ROH DVD subscription service?
Somebody ran the numbers over on the Ring of Honor message board. If you were planning to get all the Ring of Honor DVD's as soon as they're released, it's cost-effective. Otherwise, not so much.
As you may recall, our own Wade Keller proposed the idea of a Ring Of Honor "DVD Of The Month" club. The problem with this is that Ring of Honor is deathly afraid to single out one show per month, because it might give fans the idea that (gasp!) some ROH shows aren't essential and can be skipped. I understand their reluctance. But that doesn't mean I can't pick a recommended DVD for each month. Here's my selections for 2008 thus far:
January – Without Remorse
February – 6th Anniversary Show
March – Take No Prisoners (PPV or DVD)
April – Injustice
May – A New Level
June – Respect Is Earned II (PPV or DVD)
July – New Horizons (PPV or DVD)
August – Death Before Dishonor VI
September – Driven 2008 (PPV or DVD)
October – Ring of Homicide 2 (not available yet)
And there you have it. Of course, you actually have to order those DVD's and pay-per-views on your own.
