MCNEILL'S TAKE
McNEILL's Mailbag: Should Michaels face 'Taker at WrestleMania? Oct 30, 2008 - 4:52:40 PM
By the request of Torch editor Wade Keller I am bringing back the "McNeill's Mailbag" feature for a new generation of Torch readers. Ask me your questions via e-mail by sending them to "patmcneill" @ "columnist.com." Thank you in advance.
To whet your appetite, here are a couple of question stolen from our recent VIP podcasts:

Hey Pat,
Nice job on the Wrestlemania 25 column. But with JBL being so devalued recently wouldn't HBK v. The Undertaker be a more attractive match?
-Robin Pierson
Maybe so, Robin. But I can't imagine WWE asking either Shawn Michaels or The Undertaker to take a fall at WrestleMania 25. The Undertaker's WrestleMania streak is a significant part of wrestling lore, and they shouldn't end it to put over a veteran like the Heartbreak Kid. On the other hand, should Shawn Michaels have to lose a major match at WrestleMania? Michaels has been the most entertaining wrestler in WWE in 2008, and deserves a big win in his home state of Texas. No, I'll stick with the lineup from my column. I do regret leaving off Undertaker vs. Kozlov from my proposed WrestleMania lineup, though.

Pat, when was the last time you went to a live WWE show and what did you think about the experience?
-"Jericho4Life" on the VIP message board.
I went to a Smackdown house show in Upper Marlboro, Maryland back in January. The show was headlined by Edge vs. Batista and Kane vs. Great Khali. It was a good time, even though some of the matches weren't so hot. The column I wrote about the trip is in Torch Newsletter #1008. Check your back issues.
With any luck, I'll be at the next house show in Richmond in late December. Who'd want to miss the Undertaker versus Big Show casket match? Other than my fiancee, of course.
