CALDWELL BLOG: TNA PPV coverage tonight, PPV match Torch readers are looking forward to, Matt Hardy's cryptic messages May 24, 2009 - 3:05:31 PM
-- Check back at 8:00 p.m. EST tonight for our live coverage of the TNA Sacrifice PPV. We have a good amount of content on the site in the last 12 hours, so be sure to check out the news and views until the PPV tonight. Should be more of a "bridge PPV" to the bigger Slammiversary PPV in Detroit next month, but there are some potentially good-to-great matches on the line-up tonight.
Based on our current PPV poll to the right of your screen, Torch readers are most-looking forward to the four-way TNA Title match. I imagine there's two schools of thought for this pick. One is the star power, TNA Title on the line, and potential for Kurt Angle to make this a four-star match. Heck, if he could get a "thumbs up" match out of Matt Morgan the other night, then anything is possible working with the limited Sting and Mick Foley, although Foley says he's going to try tapping into his Cactus Jack persona to enhance the match. Perhaps that meeting with Terry Funk over the weekend will rekindle the fire.
The other school of thought is that Torch readers aren't ordering the PPV, but they want to read about the potential title change or read about a potential trainwreck where no one ends up Sacrificing anything at the Sacrifice PPV where Sacrifices are expected to be Sacrificed. Regardless, the match has drawn interest and should be worth reading our coverage starting at 8:00 p.m. EST.
-- I bet Matt Hardy enjoyed sending notes to classmates in invisible ink during biology class. Matt posted another "cryptic message" on his MySpace page looking to get a rise out of Internet fans with an unclear message about his broken hand and apparently Jeff Hardy's contract status.
"It made my blog the #1 myspace blog for a couple days -good press and publicity, thanks guys! ... It's no secret I love putting pieces of info out there that allow people to interpret it how they wish," Hardy said.
Many Torch readers have been asking about Matt's latest writings, but we'll just stay tuned on this one until Matt comes out and actually says something in regular ink.
