Pro Wrestling Torch was established in 1987 by Wade Keller. One of the primary traits PWTorch has been credited with over the years is assembling the best and most diverse staff of columnists with broad knowledge, but also areas of specialty where they have a particularly strong grasp of history. Every day PWTorch.com presents that team of writers answering your questions, some of which are fact-based and others of which are opinion-based. Either way, we've got you covered with Bruce Mitchell, Pat McNeill, Sean Radican, Greg Parks, James Caldwell, and Wade Keller. Collectively they have over 80 years working for the Torch, writing about wrestling and studying industry history and trends.

If you have a question you'd like us to respond to, send your question to askpwtorch@gmail.com. I, along with the Torch staff, will address you questions in this feature and also the “Ask PWTorch: All-Star Panel” edition which is also published most days here at PWTorch.

PWTorch reader Jesse from Queens, N.Y. asks: Really loving the work you guys put in to this feature. I want to ask you guys if Rey Mysterio would have been World Champion had Eddie Guerrero not passed away. His whole journey to the World Championship was centered around Eddie's memory. Thanks guys!

PWTorch columnist Sean Radican answers: I think Mysterio still would have been given a run with the World Championship even if Guerrero hadn't passed away. Mysterio was extremely popular amongst the Latin demographic that WWE tries to cater to in order to built its core audience and he was over as a star during this period as well. The timing definitely would have been different, but I feel that Mysterio still would have been given a run with the World Title at some point.

PWTorch senior columnist Bruce Mitchell answers: Probably not - it wasn't like Vince McMahon et al were comfortable with or understand Rey Mysterio's success even factoring in Eddie Guerrero's death.

PWTorch editor Wade Keller answers: Rey might have gotten a nice push for several years not that far off from the push he got for the reasons Sean said, but I'm with Bruce - without Eddie's death, I just don't think it would crossed their minds to give someone that short a title run.

PWTorch reader Phil L. asks: I LOVE the Legends of Wrestling shows and am glad they're part of the WWE Network lineup. Any chance they'll start doing more now that the Network is up and running?

PWTorch senior columnist Bruce Mitchell answers: I think the only chance of WWE taking on the cost of producing more of these for the WWE Network is if subscriptions to the Network picked up significantly.

PWTorch columnist Greg Parks answers: Unfortunately, it seems like the idea of adding more original programming is on hold right now while the Network struggles to gain traction amongst WWE fans. I, too, enjoy the Legends of Wrestling roundtables and the one thing the show has going for it is it would not be very costly to produce new episodes.

PWTorch columnist Sean Radican answers: I think there's a chance we could see more of the Legends of Wrestling shows added to the WWE Network in the future. They badly need more original content and this particular series would be relatively cheap and easy to produce in the studio. There seems to be a moratorium of sorts on original content right now, but I think that will change in the near future. If consumer feedback from customers that have let their subscriptions lapse shows that they were displeased with the lack of original content, WWE will have to do something to address that.

PWTorch reader Cody B. asks: Which wrestler in WWE is most underutilized right now? I think Titus O'Neil is the most underutilized. He has the size and strength to work with a lot of babyfaces. There is a reason he is on TV right now but he is way better than a comedy act.

PWTorch senior columnist Bruce Mitchell answers: I'd say Cesaro, but I agree with you about Titus O'Neal in this sense: WWE doesn't know what it's got with O'Neal's HBCU fraternity gimmick. I wonder why that is.

===

PWTorch reader Derrick Hubbard asks: I am a long-time wrestling fan from Utah. I enjoy your daily analysis of the happenings in the wrestling world. It provides me a nice escape from boredom during my 12 hour shifts. Simple question here. At one time, I was under the impression that Triple H was penciled in to face Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. Obviously, that did not happen and it appears as though they are not moving towards that direction. Do you believe they are saving the Triple H-Reigns match as the final boost for Reigns into the main event scene? Is it needed? Would it be helpful?

PWTorch columnist Greg Parks answers: I think Reigns vs. Triple H would've been a hell of a lot more compelling than Reigns vs. Orton was. Triple H vs. Reigns should take place at some point and I think it will. That said, I don't think it'll be the "final boost for Reigns into the main event scene," because he's already there. He's already entrenched as a main guy at this point, and what will really put him over the top is if he does in fact defeat Brock Lesnar for the title at WrestleMania 31.

PWTorch editor Wade Keller answers: If Reigns doesn't wrestle Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31, a match against Triple H seems like one of the likely back-up plans. I could also see Reigns beating Triple H before then, perhaps at the November or December PPV if Rollins was ready by then. He probably won't be, though, so the time is limited. It would help Reigns get to the next level, I think.
