The big Mid-Atlantic Wrestling Fanfest takes place this weekend in Charlotte, N.C.
The events kick off Thursday, highlighted by Jim Ross's "Ringside" one-man show. Ross's show is followed by a late-night session with Jim Cornette. [ Full Event Info HERE ]
Plus, a new documentary, "Mid-Atlantic Memories," will premiere on Thursday night. "If you're a fan of pro wrestling, you have to be a fan of the Mid-Atlantic territory," Ross said about the movie. "Like so many other great territories, they laid the bedrock for the foundation of the genre as we know it today. This film is going to be so unique."
The weekend fanfest is the last planned gathering promoted by Greg Price, who told Mike Mooneyham of the Post & Courier newspaper that it has become "an enormous year-round undertaking that requires significant resources in time and money." [ Full Article HERE ]
