TV Wrestling Viewership Break Down
Week of July 20

This was a case of the Raw Boat raising all ships. With Raw following the Battleground PPV and featuring Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker brawling during the first-half of the show, all wrestling shows seemed to benefit.

Total pro wrestling TV viewership was also boosted by strong DVR viewing. Through five weeks of Tough Enough being introduced to the weekly schedule, this week had the most combined live/same day + DVR viewing with over 9.0 million total viewers.

WWE Raw & Smackdown & Tough Enough, TNA Impact & ROH TV

- Total Live TV Wrestling Viewership: 7.954 million, up nearly one million viewers from last week's dreadful week. WWE programming accounted for 91.8 percent.

- Total DVR Added Viewership: 9.065 million viewers, up more than one million viewers from last week. WWE programming accounted for 91.9 percent.

- Monday, July 20: WWE Raw's three individual hours averaged 3.804 million viewers live + same day, up from 3.534 million for the PPV lead-in show last week.

DVR viewing then accounted for an increase of nearly 14 percent, which is way above-average for Raw. The second hour, which contained the Taker-Lesnar brawl, was particularly strong with a total of 4.6 million viewers counting DVRs.

8:00 p.m.: 3.840 million live viewers, 4.324 million with DVR (+12.6%)
9:00 p.m.: 4.030 million live viewers, 4.581 million with DVR (+13.7%)
10:00 p.m.: 3.542 million live viewers, 4.059 million with DVR (+14.6%)

-SHOW AVG.: 3.804 million viewers live, 4.321 million with DVR (+13.6%)
-LAST WEEK: 3.534 million viewers live, 3.913 million with DVR (+10.7%)

Overall, the July 20 Raw grabbed 48 percent of the total live TV wrestling pie and 48 percent of the live + DVR viewership pie.

- Tuesday, July 21: Tough Enough Week 5 drew 1.144 million viewers live + same day, up from 977,000 viewers the week before Battleground.

Tough Enough got a DVR bump, too, bringing total viewership to 1.391 million, an addition of 21.6 percent.

- Wednesday, July 22: Ring of Honor's first-run airing on Destination America drew 139,000 viewers, up from a series-low 80,000 viewers last week. The West Coast/Replay then drew 126,000 viewers.

Despite the improvement, ROH still did not place in the weekly cable TV rankings to add in DVR viewership.

Therefore, ROH's total recorded audience for the week was 265,000 viewers, up from last week and at the same level as 262,000 viewers two weeks ago.

- Wednesday, July 22: TNA Impact drew 317,000 first-run viewers, then 126,000 West Coast/replay viewers.

TNA added a nice amount of 82,000 DVR viewers to bring the total audience to 470,000 viewers, which was in-between the last two episodes.

- Thursday, July 23: WWE Smackdown drew 2.353 million million live + same day viewers on Syfy, ip from 2.153 million pre-Battleground.

DVR viewing increased from last week, bringing in an additional 265,000 viewers for a grand total of 2.618 million Smackdown viewers.
