WWE returned to newsstands this week with a special edition "WrestleMania Backstage Pass" with high-resolution photos and snippets from WrestleMania 31.

Included in the issue are ringside photos broken down by matches, plus behind-the-scenes photos, such as John Cena standing behind the curtain preparing for his match against Rusev.

The issue closes with behind-the-scenes photos of Roddy Piper, Ricky Steamboat, and Bret Hart talking, then a full-page on Hulk Hogan walking backstage in an NWO t-shirt.

Also included are two pull-out posters. One of the posters tributes Brock Lesnar introducing "Suplex City" with a barrage of suplexes on Roman Reigns in the PPV main event.

WWE Magazine was discontinued in 2014, but WWE will occasionally release special magazine issues to maintain a presence on newsstands next to other sports-related publications.

At Kroger stores on Tuesday, the magazine was positioned next to the Sports Illustrated issue with Ronda Rousey on the cover.

Rousey was included in the WrestleMania issue. WWE dedicated two pages to the confrontation between The Rock/Rousey and Triple H/Stephanie McMahon, including a high-res photo of Rousey slamming Hunter to the mat.




The magazine is priced at $9.99 and is scheduled to appear on newsstands until June 23.

On Wednesday, WWE sent out a blast email advertising the special issue. The marketing is a "first-time-ever backstage pass to WrestleMania" reliving moments from this year's WrestleMania.
