WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin has an issue with John Cena using a new springboard stunner move. Not necessarily because Cena is using the Stone Cold Stunner before perfecting Austin's finisher, but because it's being used as a set-up move and was short-sightedly incorporated into Cena's repertoire.

On the latest edition of Stone Cold's podcast with the Bell Brothers from the "Bigger, Stronger, Faster" documentary, Austin brought up the topic of Cena's new move when discussing the WrestleMania 31 match results.

Austin: You guys are big friends with John Cena, correct? And I love the guy as well.

Mark Bell: Uh-oh, it looks like you have some beef with him.

(They watched Austin's springboard stunner on YouTube.)

Mark Bell: Oh, gimmick infringement.

Austin: It was brought up to my attention, but I never discussed it.

Bell: I think you need to have him on the show to ask him directly.

Austin: Well, they just talked to him on another podcast (Chris Jericho on WWE Network), and I don't think anyone asked him that question (laughs).

Chris Bell: It looks like a little bit of gimmick infringement. I think we can talk to him about that.

Austin: A little bit? You blind in one eye? (laughs)

Austin: "First of all, it's obviously reminiscent of the Stone Cold Stunner. But, here is my biggest beef with it. It's such a dynamic move and it reburies such precision and timing because his foot could slip on that rope, guys are wearing baby oil and sweating, anything could happen. So, that move is very precise.

"But, when you hit that move, why don't you establish it and get a couple of three counts out of it? So then when Rusev - or whomever - kicks out, it means something. He could have had another ace up his sleeve had he actually beaten people with it.

"My point is, had they looked further down the road than the short-term, he would have a real valid, great badass finish, than just a set-up, which now means nothing."

- Later in the podcast, Austin and the Bells discussed Seth Rollins's Crossfit training and whether he could survive Austin's Skullbuster Challenge.

Mark Bell: I don't think Seth Rollins would stand up to a Stone Cold Stunner (laughs), but I think he could get through the obstacle course.

Austin: He could probably kick out of the springboard stunner from Cena.

Mark Bell: Yeah, it doesn't look like Cena has perfected that technique. It doesn't look like he has it down, he's not giving the fingers afterwards. Wouldn't you need springboard middle fingers afterward?

Austin: I'm telling you man, springboard stunner - I was pretty effective kicking the dude in the gut, jumping up, and putting his head on my --

Chris: It was the best finisher ever.

Austin: That and the DDT. You gotta stand up for the DDT.

This led to a discussion of Chris producing the new "Resurrection of Jake Roberts" documentary with Diamond Dallas Page. Chris discussed the movie and Jake's story after the springboard stunner discussion at the 76:00 mark.
