WWE issued a press release Wednesday claiming more records for WrestleMania 31.

- WWE claimed that WrestleMania was "watched by more than 1.3 million global households on WWE Network alone." The implication is that every Network subscriber watched WrestleMania, which does not take into account Network subscribers watching in groups or Network subscribers in-person at WrestleMania.

- With the get-in-the-door price point lowered from $65 on PPV to $9.99 on WWE Network for the second year in a row, WWE claimed that WM31 was "the most-watched WrestleMania in history, with pay-per-view data still forthcoming."

- WWE reported WrestleMania-related merchandise of $3.3 million, up 27 percent from last year and topping the previous record of $2.7 million for WM29 merchandise in New York/New Jersey.

Merchandise sales were likely aided by WWE introducing new product lines, including European Football-style WM31 jersey tops, appealing to international fans.

- WWE acknowledged the post-Mania Raw having the highest viewership since the Raw 1,000 episode in July 2012. [ Read the TV Ratings Report ]

- WWE claimed that WrestleMania 31 was the most social event in WWE history. Their data shows that WM31 garnered 165 million impressions on Facebook and 92 million impressions on Twitter, an increase of 62 percent and 23 percent from last year, respectivelly. Concerning Facebook, WWE debuted a dedicated WrestleMania feed on Facebook leading up to the event.

WWE also reported that the WM31 App was downloaded four times as many times as the WM30 App.
