WWE WrestleMania 31 News & Notes

-- Seth Rollins closed WrestleMania as WWE World Hvt. champion after being allowed to cash in his MITB briefcase at the end of the Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns title main event.

-- Triple H beat Sting in a headline singles match that involved the NWO (Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Hulk Hogan) and DX (Sean Waltman, Road Dogg, and Billy Gunn). This was Sting's first-ever match in a WWE ring.

Later in the show, Hunter and Stephanie McMahon came out playing heels as The Authority. The Rock interrupted for a surprise appearance, then brought in UFC Women's champion Ronda Rousey for a big in-ring moment. The segment closed with Rock taking out Hunter and Ronda teasing hurting Stephanie.

ESPN picked up the story, immediately sending out a news alert via their App service: "Ronda Rousey and The Rock make appearance in ring with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H at WWE WrestleMania 31."

-- The Undertaker beat Bray Wyatt in the semi-main event. Taker, who returned to TV for the first time since losing The Streak to Brock Lesnar at last year's WrestleMania, won a back-and-forth match with Wyatt.

Also, WWE included Taker in advertising for next year's WrestleMania 32 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas/Arlington, Texas.

-- Daniel Bryan won the Intercontinental Title in an opening ladder match. Afterward, numerous legends endorsed Bryan in a backstage segment.

The legends included Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, Pat Patterson, Bret Hart, Roddy Piper, and Ron Simmons.

-- John Cena beat Rusev for the U.S. Title after Lana's interference backfired against Rusev.

-- On the pre-show, Big Show won the Andre the Giant Battle Royal by last eliminating Damien Sandow, who finally broke free from The Miz by eliminating him. The match also featured the main roster debut of NXT star Hideo Itami (KENTA).

-- Tyson Kidd & Cesaro retained the Tag Titles in a four-team tag match on the pre-show.

-- WWE announced new Network programming including "Camp WWE," a "Swerved" stunts-type show, a Jerry Springer clips show, and the return of the Divas Search.

-- WWE also announced Chris Jericho's podcast coming to WWE Network with special guest John Cena on Monday, April 6.
