WrestleMania main-eventer Roman Reigns made one of his most high-profile appearances on mainstream television in his career Tuesday night on TBS's "Conan" talk show.

Reigns was slotted second behind comedian actor Kevin Hart. The two main topics covered in the interview were Reigns's hair and female fans groping Reigns on the way to the ring during his arena entrance.

More than what was discussed was how Reigns carried himself, interacted with host Conan O'Brien, and interacted with the audience, as he is under a microscope after being placed in the Mania main event slot this early in his career.

Reigns went through a "feeling out process" as O'Brien guided the opening talking points and Reigns played with his long hair, trying to draw a reaction from the studio audience.

Reigns eventually took the floor walking through a story about nearly losing his grip on Sheamus during his first WrestleMania match in 2013 because of how much oil was involved.

Reigns showed better timing delivering a story about a fan he described as the "Buttcheek Bandit" who gave him a full squeeze during one particular ring entrance.

This brought in O'Brien and co-host Andy Richter to simulate the action, which Richter quipped looked more like a prostate exam.

Reigns also discussed his football background, which he carried into the ring via his spear finisher. Reigns said he views it like an open field tackle on the gridiron.

The brief interview, which refreshingly included the term "wrestling" several times, concluded with Conan plugging Reigns against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania on WWE Network and on pay-per-view.

Caldwell's Analysis: Some stars have a certain main event level presence that you look for in a top star, and Reigns was about 6/10 on the scale in this interview. Every little thing is being scrutinized right now because of the criticism that he's not ready for the top spot in WWE or WrestleMania. Given another half-year or full year to develop as a singles star and iron out some wrinkles, the star presence could have been 8/10 when put into this spot. He's acceptable and above average, but it's just too early for Reigns at this point when talking WrestleMania main event.
