News of many WWE fans vocalizing their opposition to the Royal Rumble match was picked up by mainstream media outlets Sunday night/Monday morning.

Also, The Rock tweeted about the Philadelphia crowd's "passion" at the Rumble. "Just touched down in Miami. Thank you Philly for the #RoyalRumble passion - I feel ya 100! Up in 4hrs for AM cardio.. #FackIt #LetsWork," Rock tweeted early Monday morning.

- Time Magazine covered the events, mainly due to the "#CancelWWENetwork" hashtag trending Sunday night into Monday morning. Time labeled the events as "the latest setback" for WWE since launching the Network after "failing to win over its own (fan)base)." [ LINK: Time Report HERE ]

-- USA Today focused on WWE bypassing Daniel Bryan in favor of Roman Reigns to win the Royal Rumble match and advance to the WrestleMania main event.

"Fans were outraged on Twitter, but the reaction inside the arena was even more extreme," USA noted. "Fans chanted Bryan’s name for minutes after he was eliminated, and booed every other entrant as they came to the ring (including fan favorite and eventual winner Roman Reigns)." -- Fox Sports focused on not even The Rock being able to minimize the negative reaction to Reigns winning the Rumble, especially after Bryan was eliminated mid-way through the match.

"For the rest of the Rumble, fans in the arena continued to chant Bryan's name and boo every other combatant as he made his way to the ring," Fox Sports noted.
