Fortune Magazine published an in-depth profile on "The Rock" Dwayne Johnson touching on all aspects of Rock's wrestling, movie/TV, and personal life. Highlights include:

- Rock talked about WWE in the past tense, almost taking a step back to evaluate the three-year run he had with WWE from WM27 to WM28 to "passing the torch" to John Cena at WM29.

Rock said his three-year deal "wasn't about the money," but proving that he could boost WWE's business and re-connecting with fans who felt he abandoned them for Hollywood.

“I think fans realized, ‘Wow, you’re back, and you committed for three years, and you don’t have to be here.’ I had the balls to be authentic," Johnson said.

Rock also talked about what led to his return to WWE - changing talent agencies from CAA to WME in 2011.

“If I want to be called ‘The Rock,’ I’ll be called ‘The Rock.’ If I want to go back to wrestling, I’ll go back to wrestling. It’s all the same guy," Johnson said.

- Asked about steroid use for roles such as "Pain & Gain," where photos from the movie shoot made it appear like he was overly-muscular, Johnson claimed to have not used steroids since high school.

“Sure, you get a lot of people out there who will suspect, and say shit,” he said. “They want to negate the hard work you put in.”

- Regarding Johnson's personal life, Fortune noted that Rock sold his California mansion and moved back to Florida because he was tired of L.A., is living with his girlfriend of seven years, his ex-wife/business partner Dany Garcia re-married to Johnson's strength & conditioning coach, and they support their 13-year-old daughter.

“Life is amazing. Life is f------ messy. Life is what you make of it,” Johnson said. “I’m happy to say we’re all together working nicely, but it took a lot of work. With Dany, it was going through the sludge of divorce and then having the clarity to say, ‘We’re still friends, we respect each other, let’s do business. And let’s do big business.'"

- Rock and Dany's company, 7 Bucks Production, is now working on getting Johnson behind-the-scenes in more production roles to extend his longevity in movies and TV.

Still waiting to be released by TNT is Rock's "Wake Up Call" series. Other projects in the works include "Comeback Kids" with UFC star Ronda Rousey, a comedy show produced by Johnson, and Johnson appearing in front of the camera mentoring at-risk youth in Miami in a show called "Lockup."

“The thought was always, ‘How can we put a corporate structure around this beast called Dwayne Johnson?’” said Dany at their new Ft. Lauderdale office. “What can we set up so that this man, when he no longer wants to be in front of the camera, can have a lot to offer?”
