Week 49 of Triple H's storyline-driven, sit-down interview series with Michael Cole included the following items:

- For the second straight week, Hunter brushed aside the issue of problems within The Authority centered on Seth Rollins and Randy Orton. Hunter briefly said Orton RKO'ing Rollins on Raw has been "dealt with internally." After Cole laughed off his comment, Hunter said cooler heads have prevailed and they have it under control.

- Hunter emphasized the new chapter of his feud with John Cena. Hunter reinforced the point from Raw that The Authority will stack the deck against Cena, who decided not to play ball with The Authority, and that Cena will be passed by.

"There is a world coming without John Cena in it. It's called the future. He can't hold the future off," Hunter said in an ominous voice. But, if Cena handles it the right way, he'll end up like Hunter. Hunter said there was a point where he was becoming the past, but now he's the future (after turning heel to lead The Authority).

- Regarding the Survivor Series main event, Hunter set up the game of choosing teams as persuasion (Cena) vs. intimidation (Hunter). And, if Cena is unable to form a team, then he gets to fight the system by himself, and against the odds, which Hunter said he apparently thrives on.

- Finally, Hunter tried to clean up the mess of how Raw ended with the locker room randomly deciding to run to the ring together. Hunter said he did not send the locker room to the ring to fight John Cena and Dolph Ziggler. Rather, it was a "locker room full of guys trying to make a statement and pick a side," as well as prove where they stand.

"What would you bet on? All those hungry eyes sitting in that locker room are ready to be buddies with John Cena, or are all those eyes hungry, starving, scratching, and clawing every single day to be the future? The future that John Cena cannot stop. I have a locker room full of guys dying to be the future," Hunter closed.
