-- CORGAN PROJECT DONE?: AMC is cutting their unscripted TV show projects to focus mainly on scripted shows, according to Variety. This means the Billy Corgan reality-style wrestling show that was picked up earlier this year could be scrapped, although AMC has not said anything officially. Variety reported that "AMC has scrapped plans for the second season of 'Game of Arms' and the three new unscripted series it ordered in May as the cabler beats a retreat out of the reality genre to redouble its focus on scripted development."

AMC appears to be following USA Network's lead trying to develop their core product rather than reaching across multiple genres. On Thursday, Deadline reported that USA plans to pull back on scripted comedies in favor of traditional USA dramas.

-- TRIBUTE TO THE TROOPS: WWE will bring the annual "Tribute to the Troops" special to Columbus, Georgia. The taping is scheduled for Tuesday, December 9, which is currently a Smackdown TV taping. The military tie-in is with Ft. Benning, which is a U.S. Army base. [ LINK: Local News Report HERE ]

-- BOUND FOR GLORY UPDATE: TNA president Dixie Carter expressed concern over a potential storm hitting Japan while TNA is in Tokyo for Bound for Glory this weekend. But, Carter said the show will continue as planned. Carter then made light of the situation by tweeting a photo of James Storm's head in the middle of the potential weather system heading to Japan.

-- ROCK MOVIE UPDATE: One of The Rock's upcoming movie projects, "Not Without Hope," now has a lead writer. Rock is scheduled for one of the leading roles in the survival movie about a deep-sea fishing trip gone wrong. [ LINK: Deadline Report HERE ]

-- STEINER IN 2015: Canadian Wrestling's Elite announced that Scott Steiner will headline their six-year anniversary tour in January 2015. The tour will stretch across cities in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. [ LINK: Promotion Info HERE ]

-- CHRISTIAN TRIBUTE: The Harvard women's rugby team has adopted the nickname "Captain Charisma." Co-captain Brooke Kantor of Houston recently said she is a fan of WWE star Christian, which led to the nickname. [ Thanks to Dr. Mike Lano ]
