WWE star Daniel Bryan says his health status remains in limbo as doctors wait to decide whether to perform a second surgery.

"I don't know how things are going," Bryan told IGN.com to promote the "WWE2K15" video game. "For example, I was supposed to have a second surgery scheduled for Tuesday, but they postponed it to do some more testing - and this has been the frustrating part for me."

Bryan said the second surgery to address nerve damage in his neck would essentially "rewire" him, and require another three-month recovery.

"I would obviously prefer to not get the surgery, but if I'm going to do it, I want to do it as soon as possible, because the sooner I do it, the sooner I get back," Bryan said.

"The surgery they're talking about doing is a three-month recovery. I've already been out three months, so that's another three months. So you'd like to get that done as soon as you can - if it needs to be done. If it doesn't need to be done, let's not do it!"

Bryan noted that his doctor told him last year that he would eventually need surgery to address nerve damage, but he was able to hold off until after WrestleMania.

"I've been wrestling for 15 years, and this is my first major surgery. I've been very fortunate in that regard too. So I've taken it in stride, although it's obviously very frustrating," Bryan said.
