WWE Newswire October 1
-- WWE revealed that a series of recent "cryptic tweets" about The Undertaker were to promote a new licensing agreement with McFarlane Toys to produce Taker statues.
The "sculpted and hand-painted" statues are limited to 850 editions and cost $295. The statues, which stand about one-and-a-half-feet tall, will be available starting December 6 through McFarlane Toys and WWE's Shop website. [ Announcement HERE ]
-- Retired former WWE announcer Jim Ross published a new blog at jrsbarbq.com offering his thoughts on Raw, including feeling like C.M. Punk and Paul Heyman "stole the show" on the PPV lead-in episode. "What they did/said overshadowed everyone else on the final Raw before Sunday's PPV," Ross wrote. [ LINK: Blog HERE at jrsbarbq.com ]
-- Jim Ross dismissed wrestling TV continuity in response to a question about WWE mixing Daniel Bryan's storyline (A.J. Lee) and real-life relationship (Brie Bella) in Raw's fictional environment.
"Raw is fiction. Marriage is real...generally. Most people seem to not remember most storylines these days. One cannot over think today's pro wrestling creative," Ross wrote in the Q&A section of jrsbarbq.com on Tuesday.
-- WWE and Totino's announced a new partnership to promote Totino's Pizza Rolls. The campaign is centered on the WWE 2K14 video game, aiming for a younger demographic.
According to a press release, the partnership will include "numerous promotional activities across WWE pay-per-views, live events, WWE 2K14 in-game advertising, WrestleMania Axxess, and extensive digital and social media integration." [ LINK: Announcement HERE ]
