WWE executive/wrestler Triple H says he considers his in-ring schedule "here and there" at this point of his career.

Hunter, who turns 44 on July 27, told Brian Fritz of BetweentheRopes.com that it's challenging for him to get physically ready for in-ring competition, especially when he's "busier now than I've ever been in my life."

"I have more things cooking than at any other point in my life. But, it's a great feeling. I like being busy. I like making that transition," Hunter said at Thursday's "Performance Center" opening in Orlando, Florida.

"It's been a big transition for me, but I really love the opportunity to transition into this and help create the future. But, also the occasional opportunity when Vince wants me to to step in the ring or back on the shows, and even though it is incredibly difficult to do both - the hardest thing I've ever done is trying to get ready for three months to get ready for WrestleMania.

"When you're doing it every day, it's one thing, physically. When you're not doing it every day and you've got to have that one-off match, you have to train like a prize fight. And if you don't, you're doomed. So, that part of it is a rough journey. As much as I'm thrilled with it in some aspects to compete, there's some aspects of, 'I'd like you to do this.' And I'm like, 'You're kidding me. I don't have time to do that right now,' you know what I mean?"

Part of Hunter's managerial duties is contributing to the Creative direction of the company, which Hunter said happens "on a fairly regular basis." Included is trying to get ideas passed through Vince McMahon.

"I think there are more of us that have an ear," Hunter said. "He is the final filter. He listens, he might have a way of thinking he wants to go and you can convince him differently, and he'll go that way. He's just looking for what's best for the WWE Universe; sometimes it succeeds, sometimes it doesn't."

Hunter noted that McMahon plans to be in-charge until the day he dies, but they're attempting to set the foundation for the future, especially with the Performance Center.

"At the end of the day, Steph and I are going to try to take this company further than it's ever been before," Hunter said. "Without all this, we don't have anything to base it out of. This is the foundation of all of it. Now that this is set, it allows to go in so many different places."
