-- WWE wrestler Ryback cut down Bill Goldberg personally and professionally in the newest edition of WWE Magazine cover-dated November 2012
"I just think people are misinformed," said Ryback in an interview addressing comparisons between their wrestling personas. "People see a big guy with a shaved head who's intense, and they draw those comparisons. I will say this: Goldberg did this for the money. He was never a fan of wrestling. I do this because I have a passion for it, and that's the biggest difference between Goldberg and me. I'm not here to make five million dollars and then walk away. I'm here for life. And, I firmly believe that I'm much better than he was in the ring. He was great, and I was a fan of his when I was younger. But, I feel I'm a better athlete and wrestler than Goldberg ever was, and people are going to see that over time."
-- Raw GM A.J. Lee says she misses wrestling on a regular basis, but she anticipates eventually returning to in-ring action over the course of what she hopes will be a long career.
"I actually do miss the ring," A.J. said in the newest edition of WWE Magazine. "I think the funny part is that I've always thought I would be wrestling the ring and didn't believe I'd be useful in any other capacity. I just never saw myself in any different way. It's hilarious to me what I'm most known for these days! There are so many layers to this business than just getting in the ring. I spent a year performing at live events, but I didn't get much time on television. I think I'll use it to my advantage. Hopefully, I'll have a very long career, and time for that - and I'll be able to surprise people."
-- Current U.S. champion Antonio Cesaro distanced himself from the "independent wrestler" label in a Q&A feature in the newest WWE Magazine issue.
Asked what separates him from "so-called independent guys" like Daniel Bryan and C.M. Punk, Cesaro replied, "Obviously, I have a similar background and experience as the men you mentioned, but that's where those similarities end. If you look at me, what you see is someone with the physique and build of a true WWE Superstar."
[ FYI: More insight from Ryback, A.J., and Cesaro is contained in the newest WWE Magazine issue cover-dated November 2012 featuring C.M. Punk, Kane, Daniel Bryan, The Miz, and Dolph Ziggler on the cover. ]
