WWE Hall of Famer "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase says he has "mixed feelings" on his son, Ted DiBiase, Jr., portraying a similar wealthy character on WWE TV.

"When he told me about this and what they thought about doing, I said, 'As long as they do it right.' It's kind of like JBL was a similar character. I said as long as they do it in a new and different way, you've got to make it your own," DiBiase said on the Right After Wrestling radio show earlier this week.

"As long as he can make it his own, I don't see a problem with it. He has to be him; he has to develop his own character. When I watch him, I see a lot of my mannerisms in him. But, I think he's developing his own style."

DiBiase also commented on DiBiase, Jr. being part of a transition phase for his character and WWE trying to develop new stars with the previous generation aging.

"I think he's in sort of a transition phase right now. The rub he got from Triple H, Shawn (Michaels), and (Randy) Orton was good. Now, it's good about character development and who he's going to be," DiBiase said. "There's a lot of other talent that's trying to develop at the same time. They (WWE) have to have new stars; a lot of mainstream guys are on the other way out - the guys that came right after me."

-- DiBiase also commented on his youngest son, Brett DiBiase, recovering from a major injury. DiBiase said Brett should be back in the ring around December after blowing out his knee.

DiBiase said he doesn't think Brett will be in developmental "much longer" after he recovers, even if WWE simply puts him on the road working Raw or Smackdown house shows to get some experience working with the main roster.

-- DiBiase said he doesn't speak much with his oldest son, Mike DiBiase, who wrestles on the independent scene. DiBiase said he wishes Mike continued to work with Harley Race's developmental school in Missouri along with Ted, Jr. rather than trying to make it on his own working the independent scene.

"I don't know where Mike's head is, to be honest with you," DiBiase said. "Part of that is work ethic as well."

-- DiBiase also talked extensively about his "Heart of David" Christian ministry and his current schedule. He also talked about his upcoming appearance at the NWA Legends Fanfest in Charlotte at the beginning of August.
