WWE News: What's on Smackdown tonight - World Title picture cleared up, Dolph vs. Morrison, Rey-Batista follow-up Oct 30, 2009 - 6:27:49 PM
Tonight's edition of WWE Smackdown will focus on the World Title picture after Big Show was named the #1 contender to the title. The storyline is that Show will receive a title shot after helping the Smackdown brand defeat the Raw brand at the Bragging Rights PPV.
Without giving away the title picture developments on the show tonight, tonight's TV main event will feature Big Show's Unified tag partner, Chris Jericho, against Kane in a match affecting the Survivor Series PPV.
One of Smackdown's major developments at Bragging Rights was Batista turning on Rey Mysterio. This is the only element of Smackdown tonight that WWE is advertising on their website for the show. Neither one is scheduled for a match, but they will have a promo exchange.
In the ring, Smackdown will feature Intercontinental champion John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler in a non-title match. Other action will include Matt Hardy vs. Eric Escobar.
Former World champ C.M. Punk will be featured in a storyline-driven match continuing from last week's show when Undertaker overcame the stacked deck against Punk to retain the World Title.
