WWE's Raw brand ran three house shows over the weekend in Cadillac and Flint, Michigan, and Valparaiso, Ind. WWE used the same cast of characters in the same matches on each show this weekend. Following is news, notes, and analysis from the weekend shows.

CenaJohnArt2_130GG_25.jpg
-- The top stars were John Cena and Triple H, who teamed up against Ted DiBiase, Jr. and Cody Rhodes in each night's main event to continue building up DiBiase and Rhodes across the country as main event-level stars.

-- WWE champion Randy Orton did not work the weekend shows after working every house show tour in August. Shawn Michaels also did not wrestle. He's on "The Undertaker schedule" to work limited dates. It seems inevitable a six-man tag match will be booked on TV before the Breaking Point PPV with Orton added to Legacy and Shawn Michaels added to the Hunter & Cena team.

-- U.S. champion Kofi Kingston wrestled against Carlito, The Miz, and Jack Swagger in four-way matches on all three shows. It seems like WWE can't decide on an individual feud for Kofi. It's almost like the annual Cleveland Browns Quarterback debate. Team doesn't know who to put at QB, so they use as many combinations as possible in the pre-season before deciding who to go with. WWE hasn't built an individual program for Kofi since he won the U.S. Title a few months ago, which left him off the Summerslam card and put him in a six-way match at the Night of Champions PPV.

-- MVP was off Raw's weekend line-up and Chris Jericho was off Smackdown's weekend line-up, so WWE booked individual matches between Big Show and Mark Henry to give them a test run before the Unified tag title match at the Breaking Point PPV.

-- It's inevitable developmental wrestler Alex Riley will be debuting on TV soon in a mid-card role. He wrestled against Primo on all three shows this weekend. Throughout the month of August, he was looking up at the lights as an enhancement wrestler against mid-card babyfaces on the Raw brand.

Aug. 1-2, 7 & 14 vs. Evan Bourne (0-4)
Aug. 8 vs. MVP (0-1)
Aug. 9 & 15 vs. Jamie Noble (0-2)
Aug. 16, 28-30 vs. Primo (0-4)
