Ratings News: Raw TV ratings break down - comparisons to long-term averages with Raw showing upward trend Jul 1, 2009 - 2:18:05 PM
WWE Raw from Monday night dropped an expected 14.1 percent in TV viewership compared to the commercial-free episode last week, but the show continued to show an upward trend compared to long-term averages.
The June 29 episode was up 7.4 percent compared to the previous five weeks of TV, which includes enormous viewership for the June 22 episode and below-average viewership for the June 1 and 8 episodes.
The chart below shows the major swing from the beginning of June to the end of June with WWE grabbing over 2.0 million more viewers for the commercial-free episode compared to the June 1 episode.
Looking at a longer perspective, this week's Raw was up 12.3 percent compared to the previous ten weeks of TV. Those ten weeks include a weak period post-WrestleMania when the show averaged 4.8 million viewers from May 4 to June 1.
