Triple H says there are times Vince McMahon and he want to strangle each other, but they somehow co-exist. Hunter marrying Vince's daughter, Stephanie, has helped them handle disagreements by grabbing a family dinner like nothing ever happened after hammering out WWE business.

"If you have ever met Vince, he's a complex man and it can be trying," Hunter told Dave McCoy of MSN in a rare interview. "There are times he wants to choke me and there are times when I want to choke him."

Hunter adds: "We had a great relationship not only from a talent standpoint, but I used to work a lot with Vince hand-in-hand to create storylines behind the scenes, not just for myself but other guys."

Hunter is candid about Vince McMahon's backstage politics, especially McMahon taking some of his ideas that supposedly didn't go over well backstage and then taking credit when they work out.

"When I come up with a good idea in the back, there's not 70,000 people standing up and cheering," Hunter said. "Usually when I have an idea in the back, it is dismissed and Vince will bring it up later and pretend it is his idea. There's nothing like it."

Caldwell's Analysis: It's not often Triple H grants a public interview, as he keeps a low-profile in the media. I'll have more on this interview in another couple of installments, as he talks a great deal about his TV character and his preference on heel or babyface. His candid comments about father-in-law Vince McMahon are very revealing about McMahon's cut-throat business practices and how Hunter's backstage reputation is affected by McMahon.
