WWE News: First 2009 Hall of Fame inductee announced for WrestleMania 25 ceremony Jan 12, 2009 - 7:33:56 PM
WWE announced today that Steve Austin is the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame 2009 class. Austin will be the "main event" wrestler to be inducted into the Hall, where he'll accept the honor in Houston prior to WrestleMania 25.
Austin is from Victoria, Tex., which is just 100 miles south of Houston. Tickets for the Hall of Fame ceremony at the Toyota Center in Downtown Houston go on-sale this Saturday morning.
Announcing Austin's induction a few days prior to the official on-sale date should help boost ticket sales for the Texas-themed Hall of Fame ceremony this year.
Alright, glad I already bought my tickets. I can't wait to see who does
Steve's induction speech.

The induction speech should be given by Jake Roberts, or possibly Goldberg.

vince should induct him and then, half way through his speech, vince should
smack him with a chair. good way to get the focus back on vince considering
he has "made" every superstar and they all owe them their lives. at least
in is mind...
