WWE News: Is it time for a Psycho Sid return? WWE announcer says whether it's a possibility Dec 18, 2008 - 10:50:12 AM
Psycho Sid recently hooked up with the National Wrestling Alliance to help get his feet back under him on a national touring schedule after spending several years out of the wrestling spotlight.
Sid notoriously snapped his leg leaping off the top rope during the January 2001 "WCW Sin" PPV that effectively stopped his career for a few years.
In recent interviews, Sid has claimed he's healthy and recently hinted at a WWE return, which was inevitable after using the NWA opportunity as a chance to put some feelers out to WWE to determine if he would be welcome back.
WWE Raw announcer Jerry Lawler says he has seen Sid and he believes he's completely healed from the WCW injury.
"To me, he's better than ever," Lawler told the Peoria (Ill.) Star newspaper. "He's the same Sid he was before the broken leg."
Lawler added that he's heard chatter about him returning to WWE and he'd like to see it happen.
"He's completely healed, and there is some talk he might return to WWE," Lawler said. "He could come back and make a big splash."
