WWE News: JBL says who he will be facing on the next set of PPVs; lists WrestleMania dream opponents Nov 8, 2008 - 11:06:18 PM
JBL says he'll be working a program against Shawn Michaels on the next few PPVs, with the first encounter expected to occur at Survivor Series. The feud probably won't last until WrestleMania, as JBL has some other opponents in mind.
"I'm going to get the opportunity to go against Shawn Michaels hopefully for the next couple of pay-per-views. I've never wrestled him on a major stage," JBL told Tim Baines in the Ottawa Sun. "I'd still like another run with The Undertaker. And there's Batista, Rey Mysterio. Also, I've never had a run with Triple H."
JBL recognizes he's not getting any younger physically, so he's not planning on changing his character much from the wealthy businessman persona. "I don't plan on doing another character," JBL said. "I'm too old to create something different."
Caldwell's Analysis: Considering that the brand split is virtually non-existent in terms of WWE treating it flippantly over the past few years, JBL vs. Triple H is always a possibility at WrestleMania. WWE has booked a Raw vs. Smackdown inter-brand match on past Manias anyways, so we could see that match depending on whether Triple H is still WWE Champion heading into WrestleMania 25.
DISCUSSION POINT: Who would you like to see JBL face at WrestleMania 25 in Houston? How about Shawn Michaels? Discuss below in our new comment feature.
I no longer want to watch JBL wrestle at all. He's at the point in his
career where he'd be a perfect heel manager getting physically involved as
a bully in all of his stable's matches but no longer being showcased as a
top star.
The man can talk, but his better wrestling days are behind him. Use him to
promote others. Exploiting younger talents to make him more money would be
a great new starting point in his career.

JBL still has it in him. We can have a great story line by keeping him heel
but by giving him a new finisher. The clothesline from hell sucks!!! He
doesnt have credibility. Let him take a hiatus and then start winning
matches. Perhaps he should ally with a manager who cheats and wins him
matches.
