WWE News: Latest edition of Sports Illustrated covers Big Show vs. Floyd Mayweather Apr 3, 2008 - 8:01:59 PM
The latest issue of Sports Illustrated that reached subscribers today has a brief story on the Big Show vs. Floyd Mayweather fight at WrestleMania.
On the "SI Players" page, which contains the recognizable "They Said It" and "Sign of the Apocalypse" items, there is a blurb on the fight with a picture of Mayweather smashing Show over the head with a steel chair.
SI wrote that Mayweather's victory was "in a bout that was part boxing, part wrestling, and totally absurd." SI added, "After being smacked around and seeing his entourage roughed up by Big Show, Mayweather dropped the wrestler 11 minutes into their fight by fashioning a makeshift set of brass knuckles out of a handler's gold chain and hitting Big Show in the jaw."
They included comments from Mayweather, who said, "A lot of it's entertainment, but a lot of it, you've got to be athletic. The falls, the bumps, and the bruises and stuff - it's brutal.'"
