TORCH TRIVIA 2/9: Answer to Billy Gunn's suggested employment on Raw 10 years ago Feb 10, 2009 - 7:18:27 AM
Original question: On the February 8, 1999 edition of Raw, Billy Gunn (Kip James) was looking for a way to get on the St. Valentine's Day Massacre PPV card. When Gunn presented his idea to the DX group, fellow New Age Outlaw tag partner B.G. James asked Gunn if he was looking for employment at which major retail chain?
The answer is (c) Foot Locker. Gunn said he had to figure out a way to get on the PPV and he thought he had a way. He then took off his shirt and revealed a ref shirt. Road Dog asked, "Are you getting a job at Foot Locker?" Gunn said he was going to ref Ken Shamrock's PPV match.
Torch Trivia winner Dusty Robinson checked in: What I remember about this Raw was that Steve Austin had to face the Corporation (minus The Rock) in a gauntlet match. By the time Austin made it to the last Corporation member, who was Vince McMahon, Austin was so worn down McMahon pinned him with ease and led to McMahon screaming at Austin face to face in a corner, which was famously on the cover of the Austin vs. McMahon WWF home video VHS tape.
