Original question: The January 1, 1996 edition of WWE Raw included a blockbuster announcement that former WCW champion Vader was joining WWE. Also on the show, WWE held a "Raw Bowl" game of sorts that included more football references than should be allowed on a wrestling show. What was the winning tag team in the 24-minute Raw Bowl tag team match?

(a) Yokozuna & Owen Hart
(b) Smoking Gunns
(c) Razor Ramon & Savio Vega
(d) 1-2-3 Kid & Psycho Sid

The answer is (b) Smoking Gunns (Bart & Billy Gunn). The current Kip James and his former tag partner and Brawl-for-all non-specialist, Bart Gunn, outlasted the other tandems in the Raw Bowl that consumed pretty much the entire Raw episode when Billy G. covered Sid.

Torch Trivia leader Dusty Robinson checks in with more details... This match was a team elimination for the WWF tag team championship and the Smoking Guns were the champions going into this match. The rules for this match: each team had one time-out that could be used at anytime, only one team member needed to be eliminated to eliminate that team, anybody could be tagged in at anytime, and once a person was tagged in, they had to come into physical contact before they could tag out.

Jae Wiggz remembers the ridiculousness of it all: It was so ridiculous. Everything was football themed, from the wrestlers wearing football jerseys, to the refs wearing zebra outfits (at the time, they were wearing plain dress shirts and bowties), to the graphics used. The King would illustrate "plays" using a telestrator.
