(1) Terry Gordy beat Jason Arndt with a powerbomb... Highlights aired from July 15 in Knoxville where Tommy Rich beat Boo Bradley after which Terry Gordy ran in and joined Rich in brutalizing Boo with the spiked dog collar. A bloody Bradley was then interviewed and he said he was bringing in the Mongolian Stomper as a partner against Rick & Gordy at the SuperBowl on Aug. 4. He asked for the same match on Aug. 12 at the Johnson City "Fire on the Mountain" card with "Falls Count Anywhere" rules...
Rich, Gordy, and Jim Cornette did an interview laughing over how stupid the team of Bradley & Stomper will be... The closing moments of the tag title change from last week's show aired. The Rock & Roll Express were then interviewed and were still angry about the Thugs (Tracy Smothers & Dirty White Boy) taking "their" title shot, talking about how they had earned the shot. They said they would be the champs now if everyone had simply waited for them to arrive. Morton said if the Thugs could beat Al Snow & Unabom, then certainly they could. The Thugs came out and said that even though they beat Snow & Unabom, that didn't mean Rock & Roll would have also. They argued until Bob Armstrong came out and said he would settle the matter by signing a Thugs vs. Rock & Roll title match at the SuperBowl...
(2) The Headbangers (wearing dresses on TV for the first time) beat Matt & Jeff Hardy... They announced that the "Fire on the Mountain" card would be all stipulation "dream matches." The babyfaces were all brought out and drew envelopes. Wrestlers picking an envelope with a piece of paper inside got to have their dream match at FOTM. The heels were then brought out for a similar drawing. Wrestlers earning dream matches were: Boo Bradley (who previously announced what his dream match would be), Rick Morton, Wolfman, Brad Armstrong, Dirty White Boy, The Punisher, Buddy Landel, Al Snow, Tommy Rich, and Thrasher. Each of those ten wrestlers will decide each of the ten matches at FOTM...
Jim Cornette did an interview bragging that four of his men drew dream matches and said they would take advantage of this to come up with the matches designed to get even with their enemies. Wolfman came out and said his dream match is against Jim Cornette because he's never won a match but feels he could beat Cornette and would fulfill his dream of finally winning one. Cornette called Wolfman a "mothridden flea bitten long haired hippie freak reject from Woodstock" and ridiculed the fact that he has never won a match and accepted the challenge (though in fact he had no choice but to accept it since the dream match rules require challenged wrestlers to accept or face suspension)...
A taped interview aired with Undertaker and Paul Bearer, discussing the SuperBowl match against Unabom. They aired the "Don't Fear the Reaper" Undertaker video again...
In a taped interview, Billy Jack Haynes said the USWA is a superior group and that he'll beat Brad Armstrong at the SuperBowl. Brad was interviewed and promised to win the USWA Title from Haynes He also announced his dream match as being a lumberjack match against Buddy Landel for the held-up SMW Title. The lumberjacks will all be babyface wrestlers armed with tennis racquets... Al Snow revealed his dream match as a tag title shot for himself and Unabom against the Thugs with Jim Cornette as the referee...
(3) Rock & Roll beat Killer Kyle & D.Lo Brown when Gibson pinned Brown. PG13 did commentary, ridiculing Rock & Roll... Highlights from Knoxville aired of Punisher defeating Steve Armstrong. Bob Armstrong closed the show by saying no one seems to know where Punisher came from...
